  • Stackton to Malone connection didn't do much against, Jordan and Pippen...tssk great players though.

  • ahhh that music , and all those players ... NBA those days were the greatest

  • They were so fun to watch together.

  • My cat just licked my nipple and it turned yellow -__-

  • the game has evolved sons. these bozos wouldn't be that great in todays NBA. Devin Harris and Al Jefferson are a better tandem

  • Comment removed

  • @itsinthegameAI proove me wrong. you ever see Stockton rebound and score on the block like Al Jefferson? how about Malone shooting three's and taking fools off the dribble like my man D-Harris? alright then. case closed

  • @3JackBurton you are right I was so blind, you have opened my eyes..

  • @3JackBurton Bozos?Have some respect.

  • what is this song?

  • Hey Kids.. no matter what some may say.. You can never Stop the pick and Roll.. There are variation to that play that will open a defense right up.

  • LOL Larry Bird.

  • "stockton to malone", most said phrase in nba history

  • This is the best Utah Jazz video on youtube.

  • 2.5% body fat index. I think it's the best out of any athletes.

  • If Stoudemire stayed in Phoenix, he and Nash would've been the modern Stockton-Malone duo, awesome white passing point guard and a dominant black power forward(not meant to be a racist comment), Phoenix could've been the Mavericks' competition if the lineup hadn't changed drastically.

  • @Troy211619 Yeah........ whatever.

  • as much as i use to hate these guys because like everybody i was a jordan fan, they deserved a ring no doubt

  • Xavi & Iniesta of the NBA

  • @kingzim

    Hahaha you are so funny.

  • what i love most is that a lot of guys' skill set would not translate to the game today, but stockton... a 6 foot nothing white boy would still be doing it in todays game... a la steve nash... mad props to maybe the best pure point guard ever!

  • MJ is the reason alot of stars in that era couldnt win a ring

  • i bet in their heads stockton and malone must really hate mj

  • Vota positivo si has venido despues de que lo diga Paco Gonzalez.

  • The best chemistry ive ever seen between two players

  • Those trying to deny the absolute GREATNESS of "Stockton to Malone", need I remind you of all the greats that denied them their title... Michael Jordan, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Isiah Thomas, Shaq(in his prime), Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, Reggie Miller, Alonzo Mourning, Deikembe Mutombo, Grant Hill(in his prime), Dominic Wilkins... I could go on...

Take half of those players out of the 90's and lets see how many titles they'd have won!?!?!

  • I THINK THEY SHOULD RENAME "THE GIVE AND GO" AND CALL IT THE " THE STOCKALONE"

  • man i wish nash and stoudamire stuck together...

a year or two and they would have almost been a stock+malone 2.0

  • Wow, thats the sad story of this video.

  • The thing for these two most is staying power; these two played over 1,400 games together as teammates. 1,400 NBA games in itself is an accomplishment for just ONE player (other than those two, only 3 others have played that many games); together is just amazing, even if they never won the NBA title thanks to MJ playing out of this world. It was not for lack of trying.

  • This was the old days of the NBA when it was fun to watch without all the hip-hop stuff just real basketball.

  • @CubsFanJohn Agree. 91 to 96 was the best time for basketball. There were a few years in the 80s that were great....84 Finals were the best of all time and the 86 season was very good but 91 to 96 was the best time for it as a whole. The NBA really took a drop after the Bulls won the whole thing in 96.

  • It's a shame that they never won a championship though!

  • malone and stockton are great unfortunately jordan and pippen are legends. stockton is better than nash but stockton doesnt have mvp award why?? jordan was playing on their time!!! skills wise wade and lebron might be equal with jordan and pippen but leadership and organization noone can come close with jordan and pippen. i just wish there will come a new stockton and malone combination. a lovely combination to watch

  • @babyfaceassassin21 drose and dwight a possibility

  • @DaGamer023 d rose want to score,he doesn't pass anywhere near as good as stockton and malone is way better than dwight

  • The only reason they didnt get rings those years is because Michael Jordan lol

  • The best duo

without stockton, malone can't be the second leading scorer of the nba

without malone, stockton can't be the nba all time assist leader

  • I love it how Karl Malone got one of his MVP's...IN THE MICHAEL JORDAN ERA! That's how good he is!

  • Stockton to Malone: A hand and glove fit!

  • name of music pls?

  • @TheLucifer69 ennio morricone chi mai

  • Stockton makes Deron Williams look like a whiny little bitch.

  • Comment removed

  • stockton + malone is a great duo, next to jordan + pippen haha

  • I remember a video where John Stockton strolls in a park with a camera guy and no one recognizes him. It kinda saddens me..

  • too bad the Stockton to Malone duo is in the era of MJ back in the days!

  • Stockton woulda been an extreme QB.

  • the best part was Malone body slamming Hogan xD

  • The three way assist at 3:56 makes me horny. I remember seeing that play live!

  • Pick and roll bitches! everyone knew it was comin' but still couldn't stop it.

  • I just almost tore my ears out listening to 3 doors down in another john stockton mix...Thank you for morricone. Like i said there, i don't know how there's room for both Stockton and 3 doors down in the same brain.

  • the song fits the video perfectly! whats the name of it?

  • @dacheemeer

It's called Chi Mai by Ennio Morricone

  • 90's basketball was the greatest era in basketball of all time. Too bad I was too young to really appreciate it at the time. Now all I have are highlights instead of memories of it. All I remember as a kid was Olajuwon destroying my Knicks, Reggie Miller killing my Knicks, Jordan killing the Knicks, Jordan killing the NBA. At least at the mid and end of the 90s the Knicks were able to stay competitive against the Heat and Pacers.

  • Stockton is my favorite player when i was a kid... Everyone was riding pippen and jordan but john was a wizard with his passes and steals. I still pretend to be him when i play ball.

  • They were really great! Both of them are in the hall of fame and they deserve it of course.. What's the name of this beautiful music by the way?

  • I was cleaning out my closet the other day and found an old Stockton and an old Malone jersey I wore when i was probably 4 or 5 years old. These two guys and the Jazz in the 1990's were by far the best part of my childhood

  • Comment removed

  • much respect to these two guys. they didnt invent the pick and roll but they sure as hell perfected it

  • if only stockton to malone worked at 1998 then maybe they would be in the same breath as jordan if they have defeated him but jordan took the ball and the rest is known

  • There will never be a better duo that never won a ring. Well exactly that's probably not true cuz lebron & wade have that chance hahahahahaha.

  • That pick and roll was absolutely unstoppable.

  • I'll never forget watching these two guys play when I was a kid. They deserved a championship as much as anybody.

  • nice tempo for these two in the music selection.

  • I miss malone and stockton in NBA

  • @AddictUploader Queer

  • You already know the pick and roll's comin', yet you still can't stop it.

  • stockton looks so unathletic...

  • definetly the 2 greatest players never to have won a title

  • what are the instrumentals called?

  • if you look at it...Steve Nash kinda resembles John Stockton...But this duo here besides MJ and Pippen, were one of the baddest

  • This video.. the music.. <3

  • Comment removed

  • All these guys. stockton, malone, barkley, ewing, kemp, drexler, david robinson, all legends. michael jordan beat them all. and hakeem olajuwon beat them when michael wasn't around.

  • These guys truly are legends. They would've been forces to be reckoned with alone, but putting them together... led to one of the most potent and outright dominant one-two combination the league has ever seen and likely will ever see.

  • Stockton holds the NBA record for most career assists and steals, whereas Malone holds the records for most free throws attempted and made; he is first all-time in defensive rebounds, as well as being second all-time on the NBA career scoring list, behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

  • nice beat

  • These guys played almost 20 years on the same team together.

They are Legends. The Best of the best. Gods among Men.

It took Michael Jordan to stop them from wining 2 titles back-to-back.

But hey what do you do? Its Michael Jordan.

Should I hate on Michael Jordan? Fuck no, I'm not a retard. I can recognize game.

  • @PsychoAlfaSchizo Greatest comment by far.

  • 1:00 OMG LARRY BIRD!

  • @goonie50 fuck your mother dear sir

  • 3:14 pass to the refferi love it,,

  • @electricdragon8000 "so glad they never won a title, they really weren't good enough to win it all." Please at least educate yourself about these 2 hall of fame players before you say they weren't good enough to win it all. Stockton: NBA all time leader in assists and steals Malone: MVP 2 times # 2 all time most points scored #1 In most free throws made #4 in most games played #6 in All time rebounds #10 highest scoring average #2 Field goals made #2 most minutes played You are a dipshit.
  • Thanks for making my point for me. Ask any pro in any sport and they will tell you stats are great but they mean nothing. Titles, rings and championships are what matters. I'll rephrase my statement for you...'So glad they never won a title, they set a lot of records and had good stats but really weren't good enough to win a title.' And since you feel the need to call names, eat it douche, you're probably a dam mormon bible thumping redneck anyway. Jerry Sloan will die before Utah gets a title

  • @electricdragon8000 They were good enough to win a title, but the best player to ever play on planet earth stopped them both times. A 'dam mormon bible thumping redneck'? Very mature man. Everyone is so prejudice about people in Utah. You're an asshole, grow up.

  • @TWheels10 And add in the durability. Of a combined 2966 possible man-games maximum for BOTH players, from 1984-2003 (1985-2003 for Malone), the two of them missed a combined 29 man-games - total. That's durability.

As others have said, no one had a chance against MJ and Pippen to win a title, but it wasn't for lack of perseverence.

Also, the other numbers: 1504 and 1412 - games played by Stockton and Malone respectively (most all time for any player with 1 team). That's loyalty!

  • @TWheels10 yea man u are so rite, they just had the unfortunate timing of having to play in the Jordan era. An unfortunate turn of events for many great players that were good enough to get a championship. Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing i mean the list goes on...

  • @TWheels10

The only reason they never won was MJ.

  • @TWheels10 you are an idiot they would have won if it not had been for bad calls made by the ref's! Get your facts straight.

  • @startrekmaniac i've realized if you're gonna bitch about the refs all the time... you'll be bitching ALL the time. so don't call me an idiot.

  • @TWheels10 Your such an idiot, jazz suck

    #MiamiHeat

  • there wasn't a time were the mail man didn't dunk it

  • great video mate.

  • John Stockton is a legend and the best point guard to ever play the game.

  • @hunt509 I guess you never heard of Oscar Robertson or Ervin Magic Johnson.

  • Stockton was my fav of all time

  • John Stockton was a ballhog who wanted all the glory for himself, this is just a conspiracy to cover that fact up.

  • Ledendary duo.

  • Easily one of the best basketball highlights here, because we don't have to listen to terrible crap.

  • lol the mailman just dunk'd on Larry Bird

  • This is just another case of playing in the Jordan era.

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID#, That's why I love basketball, along with all the dunking. If you can't dunk yet, you GOTTA start practicing. I definitely recommend you to try the program I'm using - 50inch vertical[dot]com - I m 5 7 and I can dunk!

    Stockton to Malone

  • What the hell is up with this music???

  • @samsta001 the music is good you just dont get it!

  • he was very appreciated, maybe just overlooked or underrated. they did deserve a title though.. just like Robinson did.. Great video though.

  • Stockton deserved to get a ring, hes the greatest PG of the 90s.

Brian Russell was massive underappreciated too

  • Imagine how many assists Stockton would have had if every time Malone scored from the foul line to keep him from getting easy baskets on a pass from Stockton John was credited with an assist! Easily the most underappreciated star in NBA history. It's such a shame that Jordan's brilliance kept them from a championship. And, yes, Hornacek was the perfect compliment, but on any other team he would never have gotten the chance to shine like he did alongside Stockton.

  • @kuagra3035 there should have been a game seven if the refs called it correctly. The 3 point shot of ron harper should not have been counted while the 3 point shot of eisley in the 3rd quarter should have been. I've seen it over and over again, it was devastating for utah fans

  • @kuagra3035 to call john stockton "underappreciated" is an absurd comment. there's not a basketball fan in history that will deny what a great player he is. i don't know what planet you've been on but he's very appreciated.

  • @FuckUtube2008 gary payton would disagree with you every chance he got

  • @noelh98 i doubt very seriously that gary payton wouldn't disagree that john stockton was a great player. only a moron, racist, or both would deny this fact. hopefully you've misunderstood my comment and simply need to go reread it. if not then it's clear that you fall in one of the above categories.

  • @FuckUtube2008 well what i was saying more of a joke about gary.. whenever he gets a chance on national television to talk about stockton he'll talk about how whenever gary played him he torched stockton, and while stockton was getting voted in as an all star starter over gary he said it was about popularity. i was talking more so about gary being in denial

  • @noelh98 oooh.

  • Now, don't you guys forget about Jeff Hornaceck

  • Hornacek was amazing too.

  • man i miss those days.

  • Stockton/Malone---most games played together (1,412).

  • I bet every game Jerry Sloan wishes he had them there now...

  • Stockton/Malone, the best one-two punch in NBA history.

  • Not to mention his all time assists record that no one will even come close to touching!

  • and the crazy thing is that he doesnt hold the most assists in one game record thats weird to me cause all stockton did was assist his teamates

  • John Stockton was probably the most unappreciated NBA player ever!

  • and the greatest PG to ever play the game

1989/90- 14.5 assists per game - all time record

  • I think Pippen is almost as unappreciated, because he played in the same team as MJ......

  • I like Scottie, but your right he needs more props!

  • Hey Dennis Rodman? I believe that is another guy that doesn't get the respect he deserves.

  • @jazz123214 unappreciated? idk he was pretty appreciated dude lol

  • @daltz25 note: not only did they rename the street of the stadium after him but they built a bronze statue of him. (and later, mail man.)

  • @jazz123214 You must have been high or drunk when you wrote that idiot comment of yours

  • @jazz123214 because he never won a championship

  • @jazz123214 well I can't agree with you more, thing is the Jazz and Malone would not have done so great was it not for him to be honest...he could always find a open man and run the floor well plus his D was superb. Very exciting guy and a humble sweetheart.

  • Ennio Morricone OST Le Professionnel / The Professional

  • ke idoli

  • STOCK-A-LONE

its a gift of god having that duo on your team.

"stockton to malone"-thats what you heared the commentators say about 398 times a game.

pick n roll at its finest

  • best ever

  • One of the greatest duo's of NBA history.

Whats the name of the music?

  • Bird got a facial lol

  • 2:14 - 2:19 is how you pick and roll.

Edit: Had the wrong times in last post. Anyways, these two were the best at the pick and roll of any two teamates in the NBA. Much respect!

  • Comment removed

  • look the jazz play basketball at its most basic there was nothing wrong with the pick and roll its a great offense when played correctly. only one man michael jordan kept them from a championship and let me tell you MJ kept alot of people from getting there rings .

  • Utah Jazz has the same fucking playbook for like 2 decades.....just pick n roll.Stockton to Malone and now williams to boozer.they should run more Iso with Dwill cuz hes sick lol

  • same coach for last 20 yrs...wha more can u expect...

  • @stevechen1991 they also run the flex and the motion most of the time,, no iso nowadays only incidental.

  • 3:52 classic trademark stockton to malone.

  • three words....stockton to maloOne

  • lollll at 3:11 - 3:16 so no looooook! ha

  • Brings back good memories. I miss watching them.

  • The best duo! A perfect balance and understanding between these 2 guys. I always remember a commentary yell when watching NBA... "Stockton - Maloneeee, Stockton - Maloneee"

  • 1:43 funny head bounce

  • I remember being glued to the tv when stockton hit that shot that sent them to the finals. Watching them from the 80's on was a great time to be alive :) Thanks for the memories

  • @djhenwood me too

  • I wish they had won a title. They were absolutely deserving.

  • @AntiGrav1ty88 personally i think in a way they did win a title. they only got beat by the worlds best basketball player everytime

  • @AntiGrav1ty88

    agreed

  • one of the best partner in nba history. . .

  • this music is bad.. but they were amazing!

  • 1:04

Larry Bird: Did I get posterized?

  • to byla koszykowka, nie to co te upstrzone panienki teraz

  • Una de las mejores duplas de la historia, si no es la mejor.

  • Damn I love this. The music is a little weird, but they were so good. Malone was a beast and Stockton was just so smart on the court. Good memories, that's for sure. Love it.

  • I'll be right back guys, the mailmans here

  • el cartero malone

  • stockalone

  • i missed john.. i dont watch nba that often anymore.. i really loved the 90s playoffs with the bulls and the jazz!!!! T T..

  • same here.

he was my fav. player. my friend bought a nba-shirt of him for me in his exchange year in the US. I still own and love it. greetings from switzerland

  • Comment removed

  • i love watching stockton and steve nash on the court

  • stockton=basketball genius

  • Stockton was an AMAZING player, he knew where EVERY team mate was AT ALL TIMES, that is EXACTLY why he the All Time NBA Assist Leader.

I miss watching these two, but mostly Stockton.

  • Stockton was some serious shit.

Besides he was great player, his respect to his team was awesome. Eventhough he was able to get a lot more money from some other teams, he stayed in Utah, got to respect that. You dont see that kind of respect to the team and fans, too often.

  • @cuuucco I concur!
