Well Global Warming is hardly a scam... But I do believe that this push for renewable energy is inappropriate. Thorium fission is safe and cheap. Where as uranium 235 will go critical on its own without cooling, thorium cannot react without a proton beam forcing it to react. An over-simplification is Uranium (what the world uses) needs to be cooled down, and Thorium needs to be heated up.

There are better ways than solar, wind, and hydro-electric power plants.

China? They're using an increasingly large amount of coal every year because their entire country isn't developed. Even if the US phased coal out by say, 2020, China will be opening more coal fired power plants that are unregulated. Do some research next time.

I am not against coal, but I don't see why we should be building coal fire electricity plants at the moment because clean carbon fuel hasn't been achieved yet.

I like the idea of using coal because there is a lot of it. We can make use of the exhaust. Damage wise, it is nothing compared to car exhaust and it can be caught.

Every third-party candidate on the ballot in florida got more votes than the 543 vote gap between Bush and Gore. 94,000 votes were discounted in florida because they came from suspected felons-95% of which were later found not to be felons-the majority of those discounted votes were for Gore. 200,000 registered democrats in florida voted for Bush instead of Gore, and half of the registered democrats didn't vote at all.
