Just to answer some questions about KitchenAid dishwashers. Their home dishwasher division was purchases by Whirlpool several years ago. I'm not sure of the date. But that is why their quality has suffered. They used to be built by Hobart, not anymore.
@buffyfoo I would agree that the current Kitchenaid is not like the old ones and a Miele is the best out right now. However a Hobart built (1986 or older) Kitchenaid had the same pump and motor as a Hobart undercounter commercial dishwasher and it's wash action could blow away any current dishwasher.
@dualactionsurgilator Yeah i've heard about Hobart. They must've been a great dishwasher because everyone says that theywere the best you can buy. The new ones i guess can't compare. Kitchenaid nowadays are okay i guess but nothing compared to miele and old hobart
@buffyfoo Hobart is still around. They are the largest manufacturer of commercial dishwashers in the world and are still the best there is. The restaurant I work at has one of their AM-14 models and it does well over 200 loads a day flawlessly. I have a video of a 1971 Hobart on my channel. I hope to do a vid of the AM-14 soon with plexiglass in place of the front panel to show the very intense wash action.
It's a very good video. You can tell the washing action is supreme. I doubt very seriously if my 2005 Whirlpool comes close to washing like this. Why can't Americans make things this good?
i wish to run a siemens dishwasher with the door open for diagnostic purposes. how did you activate the door closed switch on the door of this machine? and how did you seal the plastic?
@fafkac Well, this models is connected to cold water. I know that, today, all Miele dishwashers can be connected to hot water. BUT there were some dishwashers, the fully-integrated ones, that could only be connected to cold water because they needed cold water for the condensation drying.
I need psychological help cause I think this video is so entertaining. ;)

@BlogShag Yes, the lower arm sprays upwards, the middle arm up, down and to the side and the top one sprays down and to the side.
