  • I was born in Greenville,Mississippi my family moved to chicago when i was 12 that was in 1973.I had no idea things was this bad.....AMERICA,AMERICA ......

  • Rural Alaska has similar housing in the villages. The real question is how we create a society where all are expected to contribute and all have a decent life. The money is there (us per capita income is about 40,000). The private sector won't tackle all problem (roads, military, etc), and we can work together to create a better society. In the long run, we all benefit.

  • Wow. Great country.

  • OMG IM FROM MISSISSIPPI THIS IS VERY SAD

  • the exterior could be fixed up for about 2 thousand bucks and some free labor, Americans should come together to help more people, we are the most charitable people in the world, but lets do more

  • 中国の貧民よりヒデーナ

    死ね

  • We are supossed to be the richest country in the world. Most poor people are not lazy and try to get a job. Try getting one when you smell bad and look like shit. Not to mention jobs have been outsourced that used to be here for decades.

  • the richist country usa lol shame on them the greedy wall street capilaisim destroyoed humanity

  • A lot of people live good lives in rural area's with little to nothing,I don't see any chickens or a garden, nothing.garbage in the water. This seems more like laziness is the culprit here

  • I see the second house has a >50" tv on the front porch and they have satellite tv. I am from the Delta of MS and I know the "Shotgun" shacks that people live in while parking an Escalade in the front yard and on welfare. I know that many people all over the country suffer and struggle but there are many who are where they are because of the choices they make. I know for a fact many of the people are living off the system. God bless those who TRULY can not do better for themselves.

  • You could get a job at the local walmart or mc donalds but that would not fix up the house. Sorry but we sent all the good jobs over seas and corporations like walmart forced a lot of smaller businesses that paid people wages that they could live off of raise a family and fix up a house like this. Whatever you do dont blame walmart because thats where all of us have been shopping for the cheapest things money can buy nore do any of us care what the people get paid to work there.

  • Ahhh poor thing.

  • They are better off if they moved to the gang filled urban areas.

  • @thisafrikan Thats the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time.

  • we all use to live like this in Canada 50 years ago it is to bad people became so greedy we could have given a better standard of living to all instead of high to some while leaving others out....

  • Respond to this video... canada was like this 50 years ago? shoot! Canada must have made major progress in all of those years. why are you mad canada is what it is now? id hate for all of a country to be like that. its a good thing canada and america are genrally mostly good

  • @Aronz1000 most parts of Canada other than major cities was like this 50 years ago, and I am not angry about what Canada has become I said it is to bad we didn't bring up the standard of living for everyone instead of just some...

  • Anybody know how lots of people lived in the USA less than 100 years ago?

I knew many people that lived like that less than 40 years ago..

Question - Why doesn't the US make it easier for people to live like this? The numbers will grow as the US falls...

Oh, I have known more poor white people.. Poor people aren't racists like rich people...

Maybe videos like this should show HOW to live with-out...

  • @righttoright1

I don't even know what to say or how to reply. At first I felt anger, then shame, but really, I just pity you. I lived in MS for a long time. Do you really think that these people thought Obama was gonna pay their gas bill and mortgage? There is a good possibility that they didn't even have as money to be able to get to the polling place to vote. Your ignorance of life in the delta is so sad. I am sure you believe these people are lazy too.

  • vote RON PAUL, he will END THE FED so you can build your own water line out of GOLD BULLION.

  • I live in massachusetts. It's cold 8 months of the year. I didn't know it got cold in Mississippi

  • @inkey2 - The winters can be miserable. maybe not freezing, but when its in the 30's/40's and wet it can chill your bones

  • @inkey2 then imagine the 8 months it is hot. high 90's and oppressively humid.

  • @righttoright1

acutal this parts of mississip are AFRICA & HAITI LoL xD

and everybody there who legal bought this song- Jay-Z ft Rihanna-Stranded (Haiti Mon a Mour) is a stupid douchebag xD

  • Propane is used when and where there is no natural gas available in the area. I use Propane and I have a real nice home. Why is this being used as an example of poverty?

  • i rather live there than in the projects. the house got so much space outside.

  • Thats how we lived. We had an old outhouse and got water out of a pump in the back yard.GrandMa caught rain water in a barrel to wash with:)

  • shit, at least she has a house, I don't even have that!

  • @nuevotoyoutification but you have a computer?

  • @nuevotoyoutification ...no shit eh, im so poor i live i my parents basement! im 24 grand in student debt and i cant even find a minimum wage job....when my dads living wage factory job goes to china, 8 people who depend on that wage will be homeless!

  • @TheBrradsullivan just curious...what was your major in school?

  • @inkey2 from uni i have an under in soch/ major political science but i also went to college THREE times and have degrees in police foundation/ law, wilderness survival/ mtn climbing instructor (taken out of desperation...but i got to live in the yukon for a yr so it was worth it) and as of late i got my gas fitters ticket (the economy is shit theres no work) i am in school AGAIN to become a therapist. at my age i should have a house, two cars, wife, at least 2 kids...its all a waiting game

  • @TheBrradsullivan wow....thats a lot of education...........unfortunately to be believeable as a therapist you'll need a PHD (doctorate). What state do you live in???? IT must be a state that was hit hard by the bad economy. Lucily I am in Massachusetts. A state that was hurt least by all the current events

  • @inkey2 ..Im Canadian, i live in london, its about 3 hours from detroit. and its massage therapy so its only a 3yr college plus work placement and on the job training. our government say unemployment is only 9% (ontario) but they dont count the most important facts such as how many people of working age are not even looking for work, and those who have returned to work but are underemployed, i suspect the real number is closer to 30 or 40%. we dont have poverty like the US but its getting bad

  • @TheBrradsullivan well good luck....you sound like a smart person.......and believe me, you don't want to come to the USA. As a hobby I like to constantly read about the economy.......for "years" I have seen this comming.......the USA is imploding. It is buckeling under its on excesses.......too many wars, illegals sucking up jobs & medical services etc, bloated military spending......etc. Canada sounds like a good place to be in the coming world economic crash

  • @inkey2 thanks, too bad intelligence doesnt guarantee one a job anymore. i have always followed this stuff, peak oil, the zeitgeist movement, immigration issues, burden of social welfare systems, the threats of fringe parties and religious extremists, i originally thought the worlds problems were a mix of complex issues...as of the mid 2000s that delusion evaporated and it became very clear....the west is soon to collapse due to our own bad economic policies and thats it!

  • @inkey2 I hear ya I live 10 minutes south of Boston and the economy isnt that bad at all here, hardly anypoverty, good paying jobs, vibrant life, i guess we are lucky

  • @nuevotoyoutification and yet you have access to internet... amazing!

  • @nuevotoyoutification how did you get on a computer then?

  • @lucy9359 starbucks?

  • who ever lives there their family member famly members should got them out of that hous a long time ago

  • QUE BOLAS....!

  • This video is very sad and we should help poverty Mississippi and raise money
