I'll be mounting a .43 opteka fisheye lens to my minohd soon, just wondering if you think the velcro hold is sufficient for skiing/snowboarding? Thanks sir
@420whocares420 I have never been skiing or snowboarding but I shook my camera pretty vigorously and the lens did not budge. Just be ensure you build up a padding around the concave of the flip to get a tight seal.
been looking on youtube for a way to add a wide angle lens to our Flip Ultra but hated the idea of using super glue, thanks so much for the alternative! :) great video!!
Alright I loved this idea and ordered the same product that he lists in the description along with some other lens accessories. I paid around 24 dollars online (got 3 things) and about 7 or 8 for the double tape and velcro. Today all the stuff came and I did exactly what this guy did (except with black velcro) and its worked amazing! It totally fits perfectly and the wide angle lens really makes my videos very professional looking. So so far so good. This was a great idea. BuntAsHell thank you !
I would prefer to use the soft velcro on the camera and the hard on the ring, so that the hard (hook) side won't get caught on clothing when I'm not using the lens. What do you think?
Thank you so much, i dont have a flip but the velcro solution really makes it easy (i hope). This is the 8th video ive seen and the only original with a detachable solution.
Thanks, good ideas. I just ordered a flip ultra and I had the same concern with the waterproof case. I intend to take the flip out on the water, and a permanent lens ring would make the case useless. But now I wonder if the velcro pad on the case will keep the case from closing?
@kwaggmire good thought, I haven't gotten around to getting a case so I can't really say if it will or not. Velcro is cheap though so you could always take it off and reapply it
@rickyricardo888 The lens is a digital concepts lens (link in description) and it is fairly durable, Ive attached it to a moving vehicle and the lens didn't move at all

Why not modify a water-proof case? Cut open the case, embed the ring adapter into the case itself, then you can pop it on and off...

Do you think it will work the kodak zi8? I just purchased the same lens also from amazon. Great deal i almost couldn't believe it. Thank you

@rickyricardo888 I looked into the Zi8 but I never actually held one, I assume something similar would work though
