Those are cool. I seem to recall being able to become invincible with the boot in the North American release. However, I don't recall if it was with the use of the Tanooki Suit.

the invincible tanooki glitch is probably because nintendo didn't put in a collision event for tanooki in the sock-thing b/c they didn't think they needed it...

Most of them are fixed on US version.. not sure if all of them.

My version was one of the first US releases, where these bugs were all unfixed, as well as a item select pressing select button.
