  • OMG I LOST MY HOME BAR! WHERE I CAN GET ONE?

  • hey i just replaced my screen, and i get a green an yellow flash. i dont think i damaged the cables,im not sure if i mgetting the smallest ribbion in fully. could it be the baack light? thanks.

    -zeeg

  • @zeeg1234 Make sure that all the contacts are clean and the plugs are FULLY inserted into the slots before closing the connectors.

  • its a new lcd,and its a first replacement.i guess il check . its most likely the inserts any tips to knowing there in or to put them in? now it turns on,but not while the chargers in,but still no screen.

  • @zeeg1234 Basically, the small one is fully inserted when you can bairly see any copper on the wire. The big one is inserted when you clip the connector down on it and it don't come bak out... Hope this helped.

  • would that screen fit in a psp slim 2003?

  • @POPADOODLEPOO I'm sorry to say that the screens aren't interchangable between 2000 and 1000

  • @hydrolisk1792 what about 1000,1001 and 1002?

  • @BROAdWAYexpressN I'm pretty sure that they are all the same, just watch out for the wifi/sound cards, they are wired a bit different. . . I think that the screens are al the same.

  • umm my screen is cracked on my psp slim its been like tht 4 3days = l can u hlp me or tell me how to do tht plz it would help somuch

  • Basically remove the face plate and remove the home bar, than remove the old screen and reverse the steps taken to take it apart, to put it back together. Use extra care with all the ribbon cables, they do break easier than they look.

  • JUST 1 question u know how some psp 1000 said Phat and fat what is the different between them?? or they are the same thing?

  • Same thing :)

  • how long did it take for you to get ur stuff from dealextreme??

  • like 2 weeks for that to come. (14 days)

  • fuck when i did this that little thing to the screen broke. any ideas on how to fix it?

  • Um, was it the small ribbon cable plug?

  • i can't tell. it was a white little thing(i've lost it now) and it was to the brightness of the screen.

  • Oh, yeah, it is probably a broken piece of the screen's backlight connector on the mother board. Just try putting the cable back in the connector and maybe putting a little tape on it just to hold it in place and see if that will work for you.

  • @hydrolisk1792 Yea that's it! I'll try it tomorrow. THX!

  • ahhh why is it sooo hard to replace the screws :(

  • worst. lighting. ever.

  • I know. Can't help it at that moment.

  • ok so how do get new spaecker

  • I think that you can get some new speakers on dealextreme(dot)com

  • hey y is it that when i change the psp lcd sometimes the backlight doesnt work i have to leave the locking thing for the backlight open cause when i press it down it turns the lcd backlight off pls help me

  • What?? All I can think of is that your connector on the motherboard where you plug the little connector in (Back light ribbon) is comming off the board. I've never seen this problem happen before. I've seen it to where you have to make sure that the connector is completely straight to make contact, but not this. All I can say is, examine it with a magnifine glass and see if the solder joints on the connector are still connected to the board. Hope this helps.

  • Thanks so much it helepd the cable wasn't straight and do u have like a shop somewhere if you do can u tell me where it is

  • Yeah, our shop is in Las Vegas, Nevada. We run it out of the house because they charge an arm and a leg out here to rent a place in a shoping center, lol. PM me if you need the address.

  • Ay can u pm me ur name adress and phone so that just incase we go to vegas we can go to ur place and get my psp fixed there

  • hey do you now how fix speckers

  • Like, what is the problem?? No sound?? or does the PSP sound low??

  • Yeah, you can try to replace the speakers, but I think that your PSP was hit with a jolt of static electricity and caused the sound processor to malnfunction.

  • well, im tryin to replace the screen on mine with the screen from a psp that dosnt have a wifi switch. thr problem is, those screws are stubborn as hell! they wont budge! what kind of screw driver is that?

  • Don't quote me, but I think that it is a .01 size. It's like the sixe of an eyeglass repair kit's philips head. Try to go to your local dollar store or something or even a hardware store and look for a small screw driver kit that has all small screw drivers in it. Hope this helped.

  • are are you gonna give your friend his psp back? or your gonna keep it after replacement?

  • Nah, he's my best friend, he let me have it. He always lets me have the broken PSPs that he finds.

  • haha how often does he find broken PSP's?

  • It depends. He finds some on the bus. Than his friends find them and gives them to him.

  • That is incredible... lol... that is just hard for me to imagine.

  • Sweet, but why?

  • Why what?? replace the screen??

  • ya, lol sorry that was a dumb question, cause my psp's screen had just got broke last night.

  • Hey, that's alright, now you know how to change it :) I wish you luck!!
