hokie, i just watched the video, you did a great job! i gave a recipe to sjporr and he ran with it! to cool down my wort, i add the frozen lemonade and instead of 4 pounds of corn sugar, i add 2 pounds and 2-64 oz of walmart apple juice. it cools it down fast!
i also use the 6 1/2 gallon glass carboy and you get to watch the fermenting!
@HokieHomeBrew Reason why I asked was that I made my first cider the other day, and there was basically no kruasen in it either. I left a lot of head space and missed out on adding more cider! Good to know this recipe doesn't blow up big.
Also I was thinking of just adding a berry mix or watermelon or something. Do you think that would work just as well?

@Srnpittsb 2-3 days before bottling/and or kegging in order to kill off any remaining yeast.

@arrogantbastardale actually no...I was really surprised...It was a very strong fermentation for about 2 days but never came up through the tube

Did I leave out the 2 64oz bottles of white grape juice out of the recipe? That should have went in as well and then top off to 5 gallons.
