Do you buy these knives just to bust up and test or will friends buy one for you to test just to see how it stands up? Im not bashing you or anyhitng i was just curious.
The knife works very, very well for what it's designed for. It's not designed for sawing lumber, cutting through straps, or being mercilessly beaten while in a vice grip. The saw on the back is for cutting small limbs and cutting through bones and tough meat. It can cut the back leg off a deer with no problem, the serration melts right through muscle. The blade is for use as a machete, NOT an axe. For use as a survival knife, it is by far the best for under a hundred dollars.
I bought this knive second hand but in good condition. I still use it for to clear out weeds and roots etc. The 'saw' on the top is used for to cut 'roots' and stems from thick plants, does do the job good.
That knife is a piece of shit. I would send the pieces of that knife back to the company along with a turd wrapped in a note protest, nay, demanding my hard earned dollar back.
through all those videos you were determined to make that knife look bad and you did the exact opposite i respect and want that knife if it went through all that before it died
He's not trying to make any knife "look bad". Actually, if you check out his site &/or other videos, he tries to equally test all the knives he receives. Its for his own personal knowledge, as well as all of our benefits, so that we can make an educated purchase based on some real world tests.
This knife is by no means a "bad" knife, but its not a great one either. Its from SOG's Fusion, or Import line. The steel used isn't a great steel. An ok backyard cutter, but not much more.
Finally a reasonable oppinion/comment, the fact that on his site this guy gives 1 knife stars to this knife, that costs around 50-60$ and more knife stars to knives that cost 2 times less speaks for itself. I just wonder what would be the best kind of steel for a real endurable knife :?

Ive bring it out into thick forest region in brazil, and I can say it served me well in light conditions (clear weeds, stems etc)
But for chooping firewood, Ive used a kabar machette. Both knifes were easy to get the edges back on after hard work.

i watched every video and the only thing you pointed out good about it was the chopping
that knife did great in many areas and it took a lot of the stuff you threw at it
i dont see how this knife did bad except for with the limb saw
and...
at the end you def. put the middle piece on backwards
...fail

while I'm in the jungle, maybe I could throw that tang at the tree, and hopefully it will knock it down.
