@gandalfx77 first u need enemy step ( buy it from the ability upgrades ) then throw the enemy in the air and follow him select dark slayer and press style button once and jump button once , alternate them and u will do jump cancels ... that's pretty much it

@SoulBL4D3 Vergil is already dead before this game started. It went through a few people before dante got it though it wasn't given right to him.

IMO vergil in dmc3 was better with it. Mostly because he had way more moves with it while here with dante it's just one style.

this yamato move can be only done with Dante by pressing Foward or Backward and the special skill button

@vitorduartesnake in DMC4 you can switch styles during the gameplay by hitting the control pad in a certain direction - watch when this guy is dante, you can barely make out the four letters to the left of his health. T, S, R, and G; the style being used is lit up in red. But you can also hit one of the directions twice (I forget which direction) and the center will glow instead of one of the letters - that is Darkslayer style, and you get to use Yamato and play like vergil does in DMC3.

Any direction works.

You only get get 4 moves with Yamato in the Dark Slayer style: a 3-hit ground combo, Aerial Rave, and long-range and mid-range versions of Slash Dimension, the move at 4:11.

not fully but you have to get yamato back and when you do you can use it for like 2 chapters then when you complete the game you keep everything. You can do some of the things in DMC 3 I do not know because I never played Special Edition.

That's called maximum bet. You do it by holding away from the targetted enemy and pressing both the sword and devil bringer buttons at the same time. The longer you hold them, the more damage it does and the slower the blade beam travels.

That's Jump cancel. The instant the Split Hits, he Enemy Hikes off the enemy, which resets his double jump and sky star counter, and (importantly) puts him back in a neutral position where he can do another split.

It happens so fast less experience players won't see the JC happen.
