Comercialism is not a bad thing. I need shoes, someone sells shoes..good deal. What is evil is marketing, people using any means nessecary to get you to buy something. Trying to get into peoples head to make a buck. I am a capitalist at heart but hate seeing the Starbuckication of this country.

I know what you mean. Ultimately, it comes down to each individual, and their choices. People vote with their money more than their minds.
