All you people bashing on this car must not know that Mercury beat toyota in quality..and mercury is ranked right behind lexus in dependability. AND its way more attractive than the toyota camry (v6 model which has dropped quality) and the always ugly honda accord.

I agree that recently American cars are catching up to Japanese brands in term of reliability. However, Milan performance is still lacking -- according to many reviews. If you want to compare apples to apples, then you must compare Milan to Toyota Camry because they are at the same price point, and they have the same reliability. You cannot argue Milan is better than Toyota Corolla because they are not at the same price point.

The AWD was just a gimmick to sell this blocky, oversized gas guzzler. Nobody would buy this piece of American crap if there weren't some stupid bells and whistles attached. It's funny that they call it the "Milan", because if you go to the real Milan, everyone there drives SmartCars, Renaults, Fiats, and tiny Nissan Micras.

probably dont realize this "piece of American crap" has beat toyota in quality and is ranked #2 right behind lexus in dependibility.. and has received a better overall value than the honda accord and toyota camry with more standard features for the price..also in no way is this car a gas guzzler and the 2010's have even better gas mileage and the hybrid version even beats the prius..also alowing the car to travel at 47mph on the electric engine while all others allow to travel at about 20 tops

Thats a good question...why does Mercury have AWD available and Accord or Camry doesn't? Camry might have some power, but still handles like a boat and looks like an old persons car with a Mazda6 front tacked on it. If I had to drive on a slick road I would pick the AWD Milan before I would a Camry or Accord.

And that's because you're a fucking idiot. AWD won't make shit difference there, it's more driver skill. Honda and Toyota don't figure you're so fucking stupid you can't drive but Ford knows this. Obviously so since people are stupid shit enough to buy their cars in the first place. You'd barely even need AWD and it pisses away your gas mileage for nothing. If you want an AWD car, get something nice like a Subaru.
