i am trying to install a radiao in my 04 taurus and i cant fine a adaptor to plug in to the car raido harnes that i can wire up to the radio, did u have to cut off the cip that plug stight into the factory radio and just wire every wire up or do they make a adaptor?

you can purchase an adapter plate that is made for the taurus. whether your actual control unit is square or a circular face, there is a replacement plate that allows you to put an aftermarket dash unit in and it has replacement factory AC/HEAT built in.

they are wired to the capacitor thats on the backside of the box. then there is an inline switch between the cap power and neons

dude dont you think that is a tad to much Bass? I dont know about you but after a while that boom starts fucking with my ear and I get headaches. I guess different strokes for different folks. BUt im pretty sure by the time your 50 your going to go deaf because of all that bass. It really messes up your ear drums. But nice Taurus!

they were a semi-sealed kind of free air deal but this is a vid of my old box.

my new box is a single sub sealed at 2.75 cubic feet.

it hits alot harder than the old dual box.

the key is getting the right sealed box volume.

that can be as if not more important than the brand of sub and how much power u run to the sub

yeah check mine out on my civic. Most people are making fun of it but its a "before" video. I installed the head unit and speakers myself. (which took about 8 hours lol) This month I'm going to get a 12" kicker cvr. I'm hoping to install it myself too but I'm not really sure how to run the power cable, everything is sealed off. How did you do it? I also gotta figure out how to wire the dual voice coils in 2-ohm. I hate being a noob to this! :(

the amp kit is rated at 1,600 watts i believe. its about as much as ur gunna get. i think it hits at more than 1600 watts, since my amp will pull up to 4000 max. its heavy duty though, at 4 gauge ground and power wire with a 60 amp inline power fuse and 2 35 amp fuses on the amp. so there is a 10 amp safety zone between the main power fuse and amp fuses blowing. so its kinda hard to fry my amp.
