no lol the new game is pretty much a reboot of the old ones so "Mortal Kombat" is a good name to restart the series and forget about the crappier MK games lately.

Besides, from what I'm reading, it's not as much of a reboot as it is an alternate retelling of sorts. It'll still take place after Armageddon and all. I think it's more of a pet peeve of mine whenever they don't include a subtitle onto a sequel. Makes things confusing.
