@marycockburn1 what I believe is true my friend :D...and elvis could NOT play the piano. if you care about talent you would know that there are a lot more talented musicians than Elvis..including Bob Dylan, Hendrix, Lennon, Paul and many others. that's why elvis is not considered the best by artist and critics. good luck too :D

@msanm5 In that case Mario Lanza, Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Javier Solis perhaps were also the Britney SPears of their time...By the way, Britney is a beautiful woman. I don't know if she still is, but...There is a huge difference between being a singer-songwriter...and just a singer or songwriter. Not necessarily better if you are both. Some songs are made immortal by singers and you never know who wrote the songs.

i dont think you can compare the beatles to the king....the beatles didnt have he best voices in the world but Elvis has one of the best voices ever!!

I agree with you, however what I am saying is that Elvis did not have idols, heroes or anything like that. In the 50s Elvis was a super idol , untouchable for the Beatles among other future rockers.

Meeting Elvis after all! The king ! The beatles in my opinion were ok for a while but comparing them to Elvis is really a laugh! I wonder what Elvis must of thought of them later after his comeback when the beatles again werent even thought off!
