  • Why not try a flywheel in the train to slow it down, yet keep the momentum?

  • Gravity doesn't scale

  • It's all metal.

  • Is that actual metal? or coaster dynamix?

  • upload date=My birthday!

  • @boeingdude1 go kill urself

  • @FunAndOnly No thanks. I don't see what's wrong with posting a comment saying that my birthday is may 10th.

  • @boeingdude1 go kill urself

  • Lame, they need some sort of friction to slow it down to life-like speeds.

  • @IIIKrazyKiDDIII I'm surprised by your lack of intelligence. Think about it, Galileo proved that in a vacuum all objects, independent of mass, fall at the same rate. This rate of descent is proportional to the localised gravitational field strength. You could argue that the field strength there is different to that of a real 'coaster, true but the dg is in the range of micro-gals.... Okay now add air resistance and friction; massive carriage and many friction bearing wheels versus tiny carriage.

  • @JamBooBx I don't claim to be intelligent in this area of physics, however I do want the speed of which it travels to be relative to the size that it is. It is simply unappealing to watch it race down a full track in mere seconds. Can you figure out a way to do this? If you can then I will credit the intelligence you claim to have.

  • @JamBooBx in other words make it look like the real thing, proportional speeds of cart to track.

  • @IIIKrazyKiDDIII the problem is, to do that you have to make the air particles smaller. the only thing you are not resizing when resizing the rollercoaster is the air that will slow it down. in a real size rollecoaster the air particles will slow it down. but because you make the rollercoaster smaller, it will pass through less air particles, because you can't downscale the air. ergo, you will never get a small size roller coaster running at a speed "relative" to the size. you get me?

  • @allblue88 Yes, I do and thats a great explanation and it makes sense.

  • So I understand, that physics wont allow this size, but I'm wondering if there is a way using mechanics, to engineer some type of variable friction to make it behave closer to a life-sized version.. maybe varying the amount of bristles on the track to provide friction and giving the cart extra weight... :p

  • Wait.. Rochester, MA right? I remember seeing something like this back in my childhood in a Massachusetts museum. Not sure if it was you I dont recall the specific look but I remember I freaking loved it!

  • well....I know what im getting for christmas

  • How do you make the chain?

  • That model was built for and purchased by RRS. They sold the model when they closed. I am unsure where it is currently.

  • @coasterb how much do you sell for?

  • Did you have a model on display at Ridge Road Station before they closed? Did you get that model Back?

  • You shouldn't take this down. This is awesome!

  • Ha ha! Epic! I want one!

  • Is this supposed to be nitro? lol

  • you should sell these, id buy one

  • @HICK5Y96 I do sell them. They are custom built to your needs.

  • Awesomeness!!!!!!

  • Was this made with Coaster Dynamix?

  • Feel free. If there is anyway for me to see the final product, I would appreciate it.

  • do you mind if i use this track design for a simulator. i could give you credit?

  • 1 person sucks. and thats not coasterb.

  • Model roller coasters ALL run at very fast speeds compared to the real thing. The smaller the scale of the model, the quicker it appears they run. You cannot scale down speed. Also, if you can find some video, observe a real coaster from an aerial view. Some of them look just like models when running.

  • is there a reason that coasterdynamix are so fast? i swear i blinked and the video ended.

  • it looks like it would be a great ride :D

  • That is the best model roller coaster I have ever seen!

  • @MrBrett244 ok thanx

  • y does it go sooooooooooooooo fast

  • DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN thats good

  • jesus christ if you rode that thing for real it would kill oyu with g forces O.o

  • @JDrockerDUDE holy shit no it wouldnt! these r models of REAL coasters. everyone always says that and im getting sick of it. have any of u ever even been on a real coaster?

  • @sonicriders789 i know what you mean i hate all the people who comment on real life pov's that in real life it would kill them. well to all those people THIS IS REAL LIFE

  • @sonicriders789 yes should i go down the list?

  • that coster is f-ing awesome! now thats the type of roller coster model i would like to buy from toys r us!

  • The track kinda looks like an Arrow Coaster.

  • i built a ride like this xcept it took like 5 years kuz it uses magnetic launch its soo cool it goes like straight up and straight down

  • It is scratch built from copper tubing and brass.

  • What did you make it fromwood?steel?knex? LEGOS!?

  • it looks like the deamon :D

  • Vety carefully. It took 9 months to get it running, then another 2 years to get it perfected. It is built out of copper tubing and brass. Everything was had made.

  • How did you make this?

  • why the last run ????

  • very nice

  • That is the real sound.

  • Is that the real sound it makes or is it fake

  • @coasterb - Rochester, Michigan?

  • New York

  • WHAOOOOO :D SHIT THATS CRAZY :D I LIKE THAT

  • I would like one of those, but they're way too expensive!

  • Its a scratch built model I built using copper tubing. Its not of any specific coaster.

  • what model is this??

  • how did u make dat!!!!!!!

  • This model was built mostly of copper tubing.

  • What did you use?

  • ainda ben que ñ é de verdade........

  • how did you make the station?

  • It just some painted sheet styrene. It is actually very simple.

  • sweet im so doing that with my dynamix

  • The new version will be back in operation this weekend at the Rochester Museum & Science Center.

  • Sad to see it go

  • that would be fun if you were like 3 inches tall and would get to ride this

  • hey do u make these and sell these? lol if u do how much?

  • Wow !!!! I want one of these !!! I want a model roller coaster :D

  • i was about to buy one of these models but he wanted 8000 dollars for it, and i told him i was saving for a new car

  • listen to it roar!

  • what did you use to make this did you use like coaster dynamix or something or was this from scratch

  • It is totally scratch built.

  • how did you build it out of scratch could you send me instructions on what materials you used and how you built a beast like this

  • I think hes rebuilding it.

  • Was that the model's real last circut?

  • dude that is so cool

  • nice to see it again before it goes under the knife.

    Keep the color scheme! LOL

  • The customer has requested the same colors.

  • awesome =)
