It IS a Beatles cover. The Beatles re-arranged the song completely, making it basically a brand new song, and infinitely better than the original (all due respect to the Top Notes). When people cover Twist and Shout, they are covering the Beatles version.

Likewise, when people cover With A Little Help From My Friends, they cover the Joe Cocker version, not The Beatles version sung by Ringo (which, by the way, I prefer).
