Talkative, weren't they? Is the terrain along the bay pretty much the same (cliffs and such). Looks like it now that I see video right on the shore. Blasted back and legs of mine. I could do a lot more photography if my back weren't bad (although I could only take so many photos of a shoreline). Anyway, you and Skeeter have fun.

@bubb95 Someone else razzed me on that fact! I man c'mon it gets almost 30mpg on the highway, and most of the time I ride motorcycles because they are cheap on fuel... which means THEY ARE MORE ECOLOGICALLY-FRIENDLY than anything else ANYONE drives! A possible scenario, BP finds huge fields, keeps it secret, spills the oil, shares nose dive, scammers buy at bottom, BP reports loss saves taxes, within months, Huge New fileds are announced shares rocket scammers sell at top, billions are made, millions are duped and environment is damaged beyond repair.

Hi there did you say you are smelling the fume of the oil? because it is very toxic be aware. Isabelle from canada...

@zrazrabulle Yeah, we can smell it, but what we were smelling was the oil being burned off, it has a processed smell to it, like somewhere between cumin and fresh crayons. The recent smell was more like diesel/kerosene during a rainstorm, which was probably the Corexit dispersant checmical used by BP... that is HIGHLY toxic and if concetrated high enough it has the potential to sterilize the land. We're all scared, it could wipe out the whole eastern seaboard.

@Terrorizer321 They are bred to get too fat to fly. Plus they know that I am the caretaker ie: food & protection. They don't follow me like a mother duck, but they do knbow to come back to me when they need something.

@Terrorizer321 The leash is attached to a small cat harness that is adjsuted to fit, It actually works pretty good and they pull their feathers over it.

@MagicCadillac Actually, the ducks are a result of the name. Truth be told, I had a parrot named Duckworth, and somehow "Duckie" got pinned on me back then. Now when anyone thinks of ducks, they think of me, and thats how I wound up with them as gifts!

@CZroe Actually, yes I have! They are VERY small though as there is no water to supply them. It all depends on the amount of wind.

And yes, I stink, usually it is duck crap like you said!

The air smells more like the spill again yesterday and today, I'm going to the beach to get some more video in a little while.

@sunfishdana Yep, I got them when they were a few weeks old. Sadly they weren't young enough to imprint on me, though. But they do realise that I am their keeper.

@vvtheduckvv My mallards imprinted but my orignal four ducks were grown when I found them. They were still pretty friendly.

That huge oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico continues to barf up 210,000 gallons a day, with British Petroleum (BP) having bullshit called on them for saying theyll pay for cleaning the mess. Meanwhile Texas governor Rick Perry is saying we should write this off as an act God and not BPs doing. Heres what that act of God is doing to wildlife as the oil floats in.
