May I point out "Asian" doesn't exist, the term is "Japanese," Asia is a collective of countries such as india, china, japan, malaysia. Kinda like the UK. But do we say "its a long United Kingdom name" No, we say irish. China hates Japan etc. So its not wise to clump them together. Now I know this is picking a flaw that normal people wouldn't care about, but you like to pick flaws in magic effects that normal people seeing it wouldn't care about. So where is the difference? Btw he's japanese
@strangechicken If you are from asia, you are asian. Japanese, chinese is a nationality, whereas they are still asian. If you are from europe, but u live in russia, u are european, and your nationality is russian. need i go on?
@joshgillespiewolf go and tell the northern Irish they're british and a pub... and we'll see how far you get.. tell the Chinese they're part of a collection with china... We'll see how far you get.. Its very offencive to their people... be more sensitive.
@strangechicken Very offensive? You just said that Northern Irish are from a Pub. And you spelt offensive incorrectly. And yes, the Northen Irish are British, as they are in Britain.
I don't totally agree w/ you. I often like an effect a bit better when the presentation isn't totally scripted, and you're left a bit more open-ended with it. I think that's why Paul does this, to get the magician to be creative. That, for me, doesn't mean an effect is "half-baked."
I dont really agree....I perform Cheng's material all of the time and never get caught. I find them extremely practical, visual and easy to do. If you watch the performance of LVL, he shows that reason that the two effects mesh together.
@ chengs material: I am a working performer and I have used both effects in my routine. It is easy set up, especially the riser, and I work them into something more than a "look at what i can do effect"
@ LVL: I see what your saying but is it not true that mostly every bare effect wont flow or wont make sense unless you give some reason/motivation for what you are doing.

To each his own then. For a worker, his material is NOT good.
The two effects may flow with PRESENTATION, but as just a bare effect... the two phases do not work at all. That's all I meant.
