  • kadalai e devleske manus kado mangel odel le romendar te gan pe lesko drom..kado e gage ci keren feri ame rom..............

  • sukar!

  • See you people still hate on us. It will never stop.

Baxtalo Roma. O gajensa mero cud undre tede bull. Mero famia sar undre kocie slovakia. The Polish people hid the Roma during the holocost. they are nice people alot of Roma still live there.

  • who knows where i can downlolad it this whole movie ??

  • "Kon mangel le kerel tumendar roburen chi shocha phenela tumen o chachimos pa tumare perintonde."

(He who wants to enslave you will never tell you the truth about your forefathers.)

My grandmother repeats this proverb whenever the Holocaust is mentioned; because figures from WWII are so hard to confirm, there is less of a concept of 'victimization'. Roma in Europe are still quite publicly persecuted.

It's lovely to see traditional culture in film; in some places, all there is left is history.

  • He who wants to enslave you will never tell you the truth about your forefathers.

  • We always remember the Jewish victims of holocaust we should remember Gypsies too ,I wonder how many gypsies were saved from the holocaust,If indeed any were.

  • @carolynan Poles protected the Roma, just as they did Jews. The difficulty with assessing deaths and survivors with the Roma lies in an itinerant lifestyle, which also likely, although not definitely, protected them. Jews were a communal bunch, so the murderers could readily find them. The end point was the same, of course. The story is vital because it renders even more appalling the Nazi pigs. The reason for killing the Roma was because people thought they were a bit of a nuisance!

  • My last name is Codona I'm from Scotland and I wish I was a Gypsy

  • what does this mean? Codona is a Rroma name is it not? Gypsy of course has come to be associated with travellng...but you could be Rroma Gypsy whether your people have stopped travelling or not. In other words just becuse you are settled does not mean you are not of Rroma Gypsy roots.

  • With my comment 8 MONTHS ago....I was taking the piss about wanting to be a fucking gypsy. But no Codona is an Italian name and the rest of your comment is just...nothing to me.

  • Oh it's Italian is it? Hahaha Whatever!

  • Yeah Italian, well done you got it right this time.

  • beautiful music and beautiful pictures of beautiful people.

    Thank you for uploading!!!

  • Beautiful music.

  • I'm not a Gypsy, but I recall a Gathering held in Canfield, Ohio about that time period at a fairgrounds when I was a small boy. My father and I walked around and were welcomed. I recall that the People arrived in cars, campers, station wagons, trucks and even converted hearses. The memory of that never left me, and I think that is part of why myself Wanders to this day. Do any of yuns have elder family who may still recall that gathering in Canfield in the early 1960's? Bless you all!

  • I've always wondered if I would be looked down upon in the Romani culture just because I am white...but I will say it anyway; I admire and greatly respect the Gyspy culture. I believe that the Roma style of music is beautiful and their way of life is interesting and different...

  • If you pretended to be one of us you would be looked down on (there are some who do) but you are not. Now there are some racist Roma just like there are racist in every group of people but most are not like this. Personally, I think that Gadje who are favorable towards us are blessings. Literally.

Now, some whites might look down on you if you express that opinion certain places. :P

  • Oh, trust me! I have taken part in MANY arguements about the Romani. I have been looked down upon by a lot of people just because I believe that no one is a "parasite that needs to be deported." I believe everyone has their own way of living. I also stress that even if the Romani were to change and get jobs and try to blend in with society, nothing would change because the Gypsy name has been stained. Racism is something I don't look highly upon. It is ignorant and immoral.

  • Most of us outside of EU have jobs and many, many of us IN EU want jobs but we are denied them. This is what we face in America: /watch?v=hukMlHNu4u0 and in EU it is MUCH worse.

I concur... racism of ANY kind is ignorant and immoral. I admit a personal bigotry: I unilaterally dislike bigots of all kinds (that includes, of course, racists). If they stop being bigoted, the problem is removed.

  • I invite you to read my profile. So many of us in EU fight to get an education, jobs, and whatnot but are denied. In America if we want a good chance at a job, we have to lie.

  • LOL Doesn't everyone have to lie for that sort of thing? XD I already read your profile and we have a lot in common. I just updated mine (haven't changed anything since like forever ago. Updated my current enjoyments and shtuff. :O )

  • In America, Gadje do not have to lie. Now it is illegal to discriminate against protected minorities.

We are not one of these.

I could pass easily as a white/Native American mix (I am 3/4 Romani) but I choose the hard way. Many of us pass as Mexican, Native American, "Mediterranean," or various other things. That is better than being Romani.

We do have much in common.

  • I don't think it is better. You should not have to live your life in disguise....here I don't think really anyone cares that you are Romani, however I could very well be wrong.

It is a shame that the "Country of the Free", as we have so greedily (and stupidly) dubbed ourselves, can't even accept those who want freedom. If there's one thing I've learned in this world, it's that God is the only one you can look towards for true freedom. And I ahd to learn it the HARD way.

  • I do not think it is better. I choose to take the hard path. I am American. Unless you are Romani or know one of us who has had this problem, you are not going to know about it.

  • I apologize, I don't mean to be ignorant about anything at all...you're right, though. I don't know exactly what you mean, for I have not experienced them, however I offer to help you in anything that I could possibly do for you and your people. I'm young, but I'm sure there's some way I can help...

  • No need to apologize! That you want to help means more than you know. You have seen the sh*t we put up with.

  • ^^ I would be willing to do anythign in my power to help, though I probably won't be trusted by the Rom, I try not to be offensive or honorless in any way. ^^;

  • @Girlygurl123 here as in america? its illegal to be Roma in Pennsylvania. and during ww2, ships of Roma were abruptly sent back to their home countries, instead of given asylum.

  • @BlainePistolle How is it illegal to Roma anywhere in the US?

  • @P1B1U1H1 well, until i think '98 it was illegal in pennsylvania, but in New York the gorjas did take Romani children from their houses, by the hundreds. you can look up some of their stories. dont let them lie to you, gypsies are hated in America just like anywhere else.

  • @BlainePistolle All minorities suffer hatred, but the worst prejudice still remains reserved for African Americans; that is because of our history of slavery, of course. America on the whole, however, is a very tolerant place for the Roma and for everyone else; no Jobbik commercials here. When did the gorjas take Romani children from their homes?

  • @P1B1U1H1 Rroma were enslaved in Romania for 500 years, ending in the mid 1800s.

  • @ArisztidZ That slavery point fascinates; would love to read any link you can provide on it. Is there greater hatred for the Roma in Romania than elsewhere? Did Romania acknowledge this horror? This has little or nothing to do with the US because we barely know you; 90% of my Roma knowledge emerged in the last two weeks. By contrast, slavery assuredly ties into Nazi philosophy, as the "master race-slave race" was a basic tenet. Thus, the genocide would be occasioned from multiple sources.

  • Comment removed

  • @BlainePistolle Let me know more. I have been seeking information on this topic. A Romanian racist asserted that Romania was superior to the US because 1) it ended Roma slavery shortly after independence & 2) the slavery ended four years before the US slavery. Am now discovering why there is Jew hatred in European countries where there are no Jews. They want to murder the Rom. Let's prevent another O Porajmos.

  • @P1B1U1H1 no, Roma were slaves predating the Portugese invasion carrying slaves to the Americas- Cromwell sent us here by the thousands as slaves before Africans, moreso, Roma were still enslaved even AFTER blacks were no longer slaves in the Americas.

  • @BlainePistolle Where were Roma slaves after 1865? 18 DE 65, Secretary of State Seward, in a proclamation, declared amendment XIII (abolition of slavery) to have been adopted. The world definitely took notice: 3 JA 66 Dr. Livingstone sailed from the UK to begin his campaign against the African slave trade.

  • @BlainePistolle Rom were declared "free people of color" long before abolition, the decision was made because white people wanted to marry romanis, they hold tribunals to assert if they were negros.romanis came as white slaves(white as romanis are now in england),mixed with blacks, then declared "free people of color" then lost in the white population.the ones that married blacks kept the culture as there are afro-romani communities now.the many that came from Walachia(Romania),were never enslaved

  • In the part of Canada where I live, being Romani is something that people are very proud of. In fact I have known people with only a very small amount of Romani blood to be eager to tell others. I had never heard of North American stigma towards your gorgeous people, that makes me incredibly sad. My best friend is 3/4 Roma and she is the most beautiful person I've ever met. She is proud of where she comes from. I am sorry on behalf of this culture that you ever felt you should hide it.

  • as you seem so set on the idea that all Gypsys are genetically flawed i think you need to do some more research, the word Gypsy covers many varied travelling people, some are genetically related some are not, as you say about we come from india i take it that you mean the romani and our related tribes, so maybe you should just find out more before you spout racist comments that cover hugely different peoples and to say we all have genetic faults proves your lack of knowledge about any of us

  • i am romani and i am proud, i wash frequently and have even discovered showers lmfao, i do like my dogs and horses but so do a lot of gadje, i do not steal, rape, prostitute children, beg or do anything criminal, as for weird well i looked at your profile page lol, we do not "have" any area of india, and as for punishment read our history all we have ever had is punishment and guess what we are still here, all that you have said just proves you know nothing of romani

  • Oh may Gawd I shower too and do not steal, rape, eat babies, beg, or any of the rest. I am a boringly law abiding citizen.

The sum total of my run ins with the law after 45 years are one speeding ticket and two car pool lane tickets. *gasp*

  • omg a speeding ticket lmfao, i too am boringly law abiding, i have had a long hard think and all i can find is the three parking tickets i have had, omg how awful is that, three, lmfao, such law breaking should not be allowed rofl,

  • Oh no I realized I have had... two... parking... tickets. And I forgot that I had TWO, yes, TWO speeding tickets *sobs*. I had forgotten the one in the 80's. The one I had remembered was from the early 90's!

Egads I am such a criminal!! I guess I earn the security tails I pick up at stores and being turned down for jobs since I am such a criminal.

  • oh dear oh dear lol oh yes the security tails are such fun when you are just trying to buy some milk, and of course it is hard to get jobs when you have a huge criminal record of parking tickets lmao, i particularly like when complete strangers cross the road so they do not have to walk past me, or passing cars like to yell abuse if i am sat waiting for someone in my gardening van, oh yes a romani that owns a van, i must be more criminal than i thought lmfao

  • Oh me too, I love that as well. It is even nice when it is subtle, like women clutching their purses or children closer to their sides and sidling away from me. They do not realize that I swore off eating babies... bad for the waistline. The best, however, was the physical assault in the 90's.

I gave my car to a now ex of mine because she had to make an emergency interstate move but, well, I must have stolen that car, tsk tsk.

But we earn it, I mean, look at our horrible criminal records!

  • yes i love the old purse/child snatch and sidle move, great for moral i find, or when i am referred to as "those people" with the accompanying look down the nose, as for the general feeling that we can all fight so are ok to get a beating ,great. but do not worry if you call the gavs cause you can not go outside without someone attacking you they can inform you that being called a "dirty gypo who should be burnt alive" is not racism it is not even a hate crime if they attack your vehicle lmfao

  • In America there are, literally, no hate crimes against us because we are not protected under any hate crime statutes. If you beat a black person while hollering "n*gger," it is a hate crime. If you beat one of us while hollering "filthy gyppo" it is not a hate crime. If you spray a swastika on a Jew's door, it is a hate crime. If you do it to us, it is not.

There is also no racism against us because of this.

  • Which is very unfair, but when I look upon the Romani, I see strong, victorious people who've stood the test of time. I admire you all because you and your ancestors have been to hell and back and walk proudly with your heads held high. That kind of pride and strength is only found in those worthy of admiration and I believe you will make it through because you have the WILL to, kestra.

  • Thankyou!! :D

... and yes, we shall always make it.

  • I have no doubt in that, kestra. OPRE ROMA!

  • @ArisztidZ "Anti-Other Ethnicity/National Origin" would include being beaten while the assailant yells "filthy gyppo". The question is whether sufficient crimes occur to warrant a separate grouping; there are not many of you in the US. One thing to do is to have Roma organizations gather together lists of crimes. The real danger is Jobbik in Hungary. I worry about them because there are so few Jews there that the Jews could quickly escape. With 300,000-1,000,000 Roma, that's impossible.

  • @ArisztidZ Begging & petty theft thought to be part of being Roma are false prejudices. And yet think for a second. What if they were true? Who kills beggars or petty thieves? Yet that's why Nazis decided to extirpate an entire people. That's also why they are common murderers. Google murder on the news section and evaluate three dozen or so cases; very likely you will say in 95% of the cases "he/she took a life for that?"

  • Your page spews hatred against everyone, not just us... pure fascist "gold." I didn't know whether to laugh or throw up. I do not have to suffer from fascists but others do. Oh, in case you remove that fascist drivel and hatespeak, I have your profile screenshotted.

This is really choice (I picked it off of your favorites): watch?v=gnFp_IakCL8

Love the Hitler references. That really shows what you are made of. There is NO reason to debate with you because you are, well, a fascist.

  • Oye chavvo. LOL The dude is a moron, don't even bother with him man. We always get this kind of shit on youtube. It amazes me how much these clowns hate us, but how much time they invest watching our stuff on youtube.

  • Ava, is true.

They hate us so but they spend SO much time looking at our stuff. These dinlo make it their lives work to slander and hate us. I, for one, do not have the time out of my life to hate because I DO have a real life. :)

Sometimes I post but often I just do not bother. There are so many comment threads and videos dedicated to hating us. I have a message for these bigots in my profile here. :)

  • Hey hey, dont know if you got my previous message...i think i addressed you as chavvy.. not sure if you were boy or a girl. im sorry. But wat i said is, we always gonna get shit on youtube from idiots. What amazes me, is how much effort and time the people who hate us, actually put into watching our stuff. I was wondering if i can get your e mail address please (im engaged, not stalkin ya) coz theres a lot of stuff i want to ask you. Im half greek-romani but dont know much.

  • I am a mush (guy). :)

It is amazing how much effort these people put into stalking us. I shall pm you with my email. :)

  • Oh Gods I looked at your profile!! You are a self admitted fascist. You are a real winner.

  • Oh, you are from ITALY. Let me leave something for the next folks that says a LOT about Italy:

Put this in after "watch" in the youtube url: ?v=ZCwf9HjkRAA

I guess you would be proud of that video.

  • Yawn.

Same old same old. I am sorry but those are still boring, old insults. You are also full of shit but your mind is locked tighter than Fort Knox so I am not going to bother with you.

  • Boring lementis. Now I do give you credit for coming up with a slightly original insult, but please try again. This one was rather weak.

  • de dikhav gado devlaa awel mange de rowaffff im sooooo proud to be a gipsy!!!!!!!!!!

  • i am a romany, and for a long time i have been trying to tell people about the horrors of our history, the slavery, mutilations, murders, stolen children, torture, hunts, and the holocaust, even to the present day this racism continues, we are not even considered a race, it is time the gorgia accepted what we have suffered, our suffering is all kept secret, it is not taught in schools, it is not talked about, are we not people, do we not ever have the right to grieve?

  • Yes, you are absolutely right... we always hear about the Jews during the holocaust(which was horrible!) but no one talks about all the romany people who died in concentration camps... its a shame

  • nobody should ever be murdered, maimed, tortured or worked to death, there should be no emotional terror or abuse, for the victims it is horrendous and any perpetrators should be punished severely but until that time comes i just think all people whoever they are should have the right to stand up and be at least acknowledged for their suffering, history should never be stifled for if we as humans cannot learn from our mistakes how can we build a future thankyou for understanding

  • yes, I definately agree with you!

  • Me too, dragonmaddie, I have been trying to tell people about the same things.

They do not want to listen. Either I am ignored, fobbed off, or just told to shut up "filthy Gypsy."

I now write and am circulating my writings as far as possible to the Gadje who care.

Gadje, for the most part, do not care.

  • good on you for trying, as for the filthy gypsy remark do any of these people actually know any real romani, it makes me mad, if any other peoples were treated the way we are they could call in the race relations or the gavvers , we are supposed to put up with it all, even on here we get loads of hastle, it is all sick

  • Ah, hell, even in America if half of the stuff said about us were said about ANY other ethnicity, corporate heads would roll. Buuuuuuut... they can get away with it because we are just "Gypsies."

Think about "gypsy crime," for instance, if anyone named it "Black crime" or "white crime," police heads would roll and fast.

  • @dragonmaddie The Roma genocide deserves every bit of coverage it can get. You see, Nazis justified murders of Jews by concocting myths, usually recasting old anti-semitic tropes in new wine skins, with added twists. The only things the Roma were accused of were begging and minor thefts. And for that--murder was used as a cure! It's like murder in the papers. No one but Nazis would conclude Murder was justified for begging.

  • hello to everybody!im half gypsy and half romanian and i live in Ireland now(Navan)!!!i know few words of gypsy language !!!bahtale mo roma!!!hahaha!!!

  • jaaaaweeeeeen sasteeeeeeeeeeee bahtaaleeeeee coolllllllll!!!!!

  • i am absolutly fascinate with the gypsies and beginging to understand that they are the only people(s) i can relate to .....long live the gypsies....that remain

  • OPRE ROMA!!!

  • i will remember them.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!

  • i am a gypsy travller and this really sads me to think people killed us just for being 'us'

  • Yes, just have courage, Kestra. Do not blow like leaf in the wind. Become a mountain to withstand the howling demands of the winds. ^^
