  • The tool like a pole of some sort normally found at carparks; only the upper part is chopped off. The Japanese and Americans alike use heavy bags in practicing their throws / takedowns. Imagine the pole or the heavy bottom swinging to the wrestler's head. Not exactly novel, I'd say.

  • From what I've seen of Shuai Jiao they have a lot of training techniques that you don't see in Judo. The Chinese martial arts typically have a lot of solo training methods to build up the fundamentals.
