I remember this song came out right around the time i had just finished reading A Wrinkle in Time by Ursula K Leguin. This song kinda goes with that story.
79... jesus christ I just saw them today (2008) rock a sold out house in copenhagen! Awesome to witness first hand they still got the soul and power to absolutely rock for 2½h straight... after so many years.. damn! I love Manhatten Transfer!!!
I always thought it was neat how a jazz group put out such a great disco track without selling out. The six minute version on the Extensions album is even better
The title is actually "Twilight Tone" they aren't saying "Here in the twilight zone" they are saying "Hearin' the twilight tone". It's (obviously) a play on words.
the way their dressed in this video reminds me of the Phantom Zone Criminals, rom superman-2!! thanks so much for posting it!!! loved it as a kid still love it!!
I cant believe this is here! A personal favorite of mine, thanks for the incredible experience of seeing this for the first time. They really did disco good.

1979... good lord, I just couldn't believe it, I always thought that it was the 1980s. Well, that's the pre-80s era, I think

I didn't know this song had a music video. I've been a MT fan since I first heard them in 1980. I played this album to death. Thanks!
