  • thumbs up if u got snubbed by your parents for playing this game, old loves never die

  • The elbow never fails in the clutch! Abobo rulez! Lol

  • This game was so awesome!! It was really hard tho, i could only get to stage 2 and always get killed. Classic game!

  • man this game is fuck-ass i love it

  • Dude this was my game in my childhood my fingers used to hurt for playing a lot . I hope they bring this game on Xbox 360

  • This use to be at my neighborhood fiesta here in Texas.

  • How do u play this game !!!! i want play this version :(

  • Whe i was a 10 years old in Brazil i used to play this game instead going to school.. that year i fallied at school and my parents got very angry with me, but I still love this game.. good memories...

  • @MrAlexdesousa

hahhahah,,,,,,,,,i used to steal money from my older siblings to play this game in pakistan and would spend all time playing either this one or street fighter, and would get scolded by my parents.......

  • @codeXmith2010 hahahah..I also used to do the same for final fighter, street fighter and others, yep mate I miss it was a lot of fun. Great memories...

  • i thought it was BILLY and jimmy

  • LOL I LOVE THAT GAME CUZ MR T KICK YOUR ASS IN THAT GAME

  • My buddy and I played this in The Candyland Arcade until we won it. The quarters were uh flyin'. We used to love the pantie scenes also. I used to get pissed at the guy for punching the chick in the gut like he did. I used to make it my mission to get to him as fast as I could, to make him pay dearly for that. Another great game we played was Gauntlet. They don't make great games like this anymore. And yes, the games did cheat, by making you fall into holes and the badies were fall proof.

  • Look at that vertical!

  • they need to remake this game for the playstation 3

  • No Home Version came Close to this Game except the GBA but it went over the Top with the upgrades..The Sega Genesis could have been the best Version, but it was oo Choppy the SMS Version was okay it was 2-Players the NES Version Sucked u had to earn your Moves, and it was only for 1-Player.

  • I remember I use to use that elbow all the time. I agree elbow might be boring but its really effective!

  • This is cool, I would have liked to see a fly-kick though, which was my favorite thing to bust out even though the elbow is more reliable than a '84 toyota corolla dx

  • i just subscribed! ur a cool dude wish i knew u back in the day! i know in 1 version i played u had to fight ur bro for the girl at the end. we called the last guy "machine gun willy". abobo was the big guys, gotta love it! keep up the good work!

  • che cazzo c'entra l'odore della pizza

  • good video !!! i'm having slow dows with this game when there are too much guys on the screen. i'm a mame's heavy user and i have a quad core. i don't know what to do, if i uncheck the throtle it goes too fast. anyone could help me? i have a lot of mame videos too check it if you wanna. nice video

  • Panties and ass kicking. It's too much goodness. The elbows are just for the Mr T guys. :-)

  • @Mr90sGamer. Thanks for the upload. Just want to add some more comments. To make it easier for yourself in the game, don't over walk past all the enemies or else you have to fight them all. If fighting one (excluding the giants) you can knee them until they die (knee them gradually though, otherwise they'll fall to the ground then you'll have to start again).

  • two players & don't abuse the elbow = best way to experience a classic

  • Bobby & Jimmy? Hell no, it's Spike & Hammer!

    Those Japanese just couldn't remember.

    It's

    Spike & Hammer!

and always will be to me.

    These Nintendo stars they made...phooey.

  • @maxti6 .............you know the Japanese version where they were called Billy and Jimmy came FIRST, right?

  • @CirqueDuFreak2000 No I didn't. It sounds Too American. I could believe Spike & Hammer, but Bobby...?....OK.

  • @maxti6 actually it was billy but whatever.

no, they were named Spike and Hammer for the localization because Billy and Jimmy weren't "cool" enough names.

  • the real names were billy lee and jimmy lee the twins brother

  • Come on now, what is it with only using the elbow on the enemies? That is exploitation man, you got to use all of the repertoire of what is available, keep the game a little bit more challenging, exciting and interesting!

  • I hate to say this but you are right! lol I can't make the excuse of only having one quarter anymore.. lol... thanks for the comment brother!

  • @Frisbinator LOL, that's how you got through the game on one quarter. The back elbow was your buddy and friend.

  • OMG! Awesome hilarious commentary. Totally brought back a flood of memories and instantly recognized some of the points you presented. Rated and Faved!

  • thanks brother you are the best!

  • Wow...I haven't played this game in years! Lmao...I always wondered why they would show her panties...I was amazed as a kid that they actually showed her draws....wow...how degrading...lol!

  • HAHAHA I remember spending many quarters on this Game... Truley a OLDIE BUT GOLDIE... They should make a remake for the newer consoles... Great work.... 5 stars.... Have any more?? lol

  • Hahaha i just bought a 111 in 1 games for my NeoGeo Arcade cab, and this game is on there. i wonder if it's the same exact one... haha nice video bro, you made me LOL. cheers!

  • thanks for the kind words.. you are amazing!

  • yeh that elbow was like that Super Knee in Nes DD2 lol...i abused that move heavily

  • lol me too! as you can see.. hahaha!

  • hell yeh lol XD....shit no saves?? man as a kid i abused all moves. Didnt have a lotta quarters or couldnt spend much time on Nes cuz moms didnt play that so i had to kick ass n quick! lol

  • lol hilarious stuff brother!

  • The good old days... AHHHH

  • great video, brought back many memories... Double Dragon will always be a legendary game. and just so you know its Billy, not Bobby lol. good job on the vid though

  • yeah thanks brother... a number of people pointed that out.. my bad.. hahaha

  • LOL. I had to watch this again dude. This might have been the first one I watched. I just love this game! If I ever buy a stand up cab it would be this one...or Robocop....tough to say.....anyways, you are hilarious bro!

  • Beating this game in the arcade was one of the greatest accomplishments in my life...okay, maybe not...but it's up there.

  • lol don't fight it brother.. it was one of my biggest acccomplishments.. that and having kids. haha

  • Nice video

  • yes i hear ya doudle dragon is assome

  • lol i loved this game </3

  • I was a Double Dragon ADDICT when I was a kid. I was always jackin' quarters, then riding my bike to the arcade. It was awesome!!

  • yeah man...our days of arcades are over..i definitely miss them

  • Haha!! Happy to hear I ain't the only one. Haha!!

  • HA... every time i smell the sweet aroma of El Pollo Loco or any grilled chicken, it reminds me of DD because there used to be a local joint called NUMERO UNO CHICKEN in L.A, they had Galaga, Bad Dudes, and DD.. thanx to this game, I love Grilled chicken, real burgers and pizza ... i miss that place

  • oh 1 more thing... it should be Billy not Bobby's world xD great video dude

  • lol you are right i get that all the time for my foolish mistake... sorry big daddy

  • *gives 90sgamer props* man, bowling alleys will forever remind me of when the neo geo first came out in 1990, and the only games out for it were nam 1975, ninja combat, baseball stars professional, and magician lord.

double dragon, however, is a classic beyond classics.

  • nothing personal, but it's BILLY and jimmy, not bobby dumbass. jk. but I know what you mean about the memory trigger. for me the smell of the fumes coming from a laundry mat reminds me of altered beast. my dude just turned into a werewolf, holy shit!! badass!

  • one more thing, if anyone can help. Where on the internet can I find the upgraded version of Double Dragon I arcade game. Where the spinning kick is included. With original graphics/sounds. I remember playing that one back in 1988-89. Man I would love to play that game again. Been playing other versions of DD, but none of them come close to the original arcade version..

  • Kids nowdays dont know how to appreciate old games.."the graphics SUCK bla bla bla" is the only thing they say. If its now PS3 with the best everything its not worth playing. Man those brats dont know what they missed! LOVE DD!!!!!!!

  • Sucks how the arcade version slows down to a crawl with so many enemies. At least the Xbox Arcade version fixed it.

  • I could play this game in my sleep. That's how much I played this game. Legend of Kage was good too.

  • lol hilarious.. I feel what you are saying big guy

  • where can i download this game?

  • the intro song is curse of monkey island . lol

  • lol you are too good! :)

  • my brother and I would play this whenever we went to pizza hut near our parents house. We still get that urge when we walk into that Pizza Hut to this day.

  • great review - i still recall seeing this for the first time at a seaside funfair as a kid and being blown away by the fantastic graphics.

i used my holiday camera to photograph it - all 24 photos

i then got home and had the film developed- and all the pictures were blank :(

  • pizza parlour smell always reminds me of wrestlefest arcade.

    Great review!

Anyone tell you , you sound like chris angel?

  • lol thanks brother... no they have not! haha I will take it as a compliment

  • Back when Quik Trip was a cool store, I played this game constantly!!! Never beat it till recently in a emulator....

  • mate that was a good naration.most others are crap.double dragon arcade was THE game in the uk back in the day-pumped enough 10 p's in that game.

    respect

  • thanks brother!

  • thanks brother for the nice message... you are amazing

  • Like hieuwey said. You actually don't take damage from short falls (even though you fall over).

Billy and Jimmy Lee (aka Hammer and Spike). ;)

  • How long have you been playing this?! Talk of a foot fault feast... And do you know any other tricks than that elbow blow?

  • You should do a Mortal Kombat vid. =]

  • Nice review

  • thanks brother

  • mrgamer... you can drop the weapons by falling off something.

    thumbsup

  • thanks big guy

  • Congratulations!Amazing reviews that deserve a 5 star really:)

    Keep'em coming ;)

  • bobby and jimmy

  • i know.. sorry bro

  • i dont think anybody caught it anyway lol

  • surpossed to be billy and jimmy

    but nah nevermind

    good video dude

  • Billy and jimmy.

  • From what I remember, their real names are Ryuuichi and Ryuuji.

  • From what I remember, their real names are Bimmy and Jimmy.

  • LOL

  • @thecountrygentleman Actually, it's BILLY and Jimmy, not Bimmy. On the NES version of Double Dragon 3, it says Bimmy but that's a typo.

  • this guy is the best he is funny and he always keeps me interested in his vids 5 stars man.

  • thanks big man.. all the best .. i am trying to review Shinobi for the arcade but I am having a tough time beating it! haha. I will have it out soon! Thanks for your support!

  • hey cant wait till it comes out.

  • It's unfortunate that this game suffers from horrible framerates with more then 2 enemies on screen at once.. :(

  • My favorite move I use to do was a front HAHA, funny for more quarters, I used to cry to adult strangers saying, I lost my bus fare home. Always worked had to show tears. Anyway back to to the kick to block the thug throwing the knife and the heel sounding KINK! totally cool man. The face smashing against your knees was a FAV! too. keep up the good work, Mr.90s gamer.

  • Double Dragon man. Fuck yeah. hehe

  • thanks bro you rule.. hey do you have any arcade games that you want reviewed? let me know! all the best!

  • Y'know I really never played arcades a lot as a kid, I was more of a console kid....But how about Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Killer Instinct, or Mortal Kombat. Those are more my era. Or the Simpsons Arcade, that one was fun if you had a million quarters. Really enjoy your videos man keep up the good work.

  • awesome stuff I loved this game although it kicked my ass every time.

  • You found my fav arcade of al time! this is the game that started it all for me. My absolute love of arcade co ops. This is such a lovely vid to demonstrate. You even pointed out so stuff I never really noticed. Im going to have to come back and comment again because, theres just not enough space here for what i wanna say. anyway hell of a job! this is goin in my favs.

  • lol that was funny nice review wild cat!

  • Nice review. My favorite arcade memory is Centipede at the Greyhound bus stop. Only had so much time before the bus showed up, bur I had a blast with that trackball and shoot button. ^_^

  • lol that is hilarious... nice!

  • I meant to say Billy and Jimmy! not Bobby lol

  • Awesome review.
