Both leagues have their pros and cons. i.e. EPL is fast paced and highly competitive throughout the league whereas La Liga is is more about ball retention for the top clubs. It's all down to opinion; if you like easy on the eye football you prefer la liga and if you prefer high paced action you prefer EPL.

@moluksefreefighter01 the same number of teams have won EPL and La Liga in the last 6 years or so. So to say that real and barca win everything and that anyone can win the EPL is wrong. Both leagues have their pros and cons. i.e. EPL is fast paced and highly competitive throughout the league whereas La Liga is is more about ball retention for the top clubs. It's all down to opinion; if you like easy on the eye football you prefer la liga and if you prefer high paced action you prefer EPL.

Gerrard has the easier final passes to make as he plays further forward than Xavi on the pitch, and Xavi is far more consistent in terms of possession keeping and the accuracy of his passes. It is Leo Messi's, David Villa's, Iniesta's and Thiago's job to play the very final ball for the assist, not Xavi's.
He is simply the mastermind behind the structure of the play.

Fair enough, we both have different opinions, Xavi sits in Central Mid most of the time, so he specialises there. Gerrard can play numerous positions in Midfield, mostly attacking midfield. Gerrard has carried Liverpool through the years, we've never exactly had a world class team in the past 13-14 years. The closest was in 09 when we had Alonso, Mascherano and Torres.
