  • is this from city gardens in lovely trenton, nj?

  • Rather, human fuckin' metronome crossed with a sledgehammer. Great Band.

  • I've gotta agree with ya, boosbro.. sure, Yow is in all likelihood one of the greatest frontmen in rawk, but the jesus lizard were fucking brilliant; you've got the almighty mista Sims of Naked Raygun, Scratch Acid, and Rapeman doling it out on the boomstick, Duane Denison, who aside from his own brilliance & pre-lizard cargo cult fame did his fair share of study in both jazz and classical traditions.. & Mac McNeilly, who i think is one of the underated great drummers: human fuckin metronome...

  • Sims wasn't in Naked Raygun, you fail.

  • meh. My bad. Either way, still great.

  • Exactly they are my idea of what the perfect "indie" rock band is... pretty much anything on Touch and Go from that time period is damn near perfect "indie" rock. Shellac, Brainiac, Butthole Surfers, Man or Astro-man, Girls Against Boys, Slint... I don't think I need to keep going... on another note I don't remember Sims being in Naked Raygun.

  • No disrepscect to myshkin66, but this is one of the best bands ever assembeled, even when Yow was puking on people's faces or getting knocked out cold. Listen to the music every once in a while. Go see Qui, and you might have more appreciation for Duane, David, and MAC! What a fucking drummer! What a freakin' rhythm section. Qui's pretty good too, by they couldn't hold JL's jock. By the way, I love David Yow. He just puked on my shoes a couople months ago @ a Qui show. Word.

  • Everyone in the band was great. But for me it was all baout the bass.

  • Yeaaah ! Tough rock, buddy !!

  • yeah, camera-wise it is a little like "Welcome to the David Yow Show", but... it's still awesome! Thanks for putting this up.

  • thanks for posting it. the killer mchann is one of my top 3 Jesus Lizard songs.but too bad the vid was shot by a non-musician. you can always tell when this is the case by the fact that the camera only follows the frontman and doesn't give the musicians in the band their due
