  • If President Isaias accepted them wearing a pair of nice shoes and a suit top....it must means that he really appreciated their contribution :)

    Just Little things:)

  • As of April 12, 2010, Physicians for Peace has been declared persona non grata and has been asked to leave Eritrea. The entire program, including the medical school, and the post graduate education of Pediatricians, Surgeons, and OB/GYNs is imperiled. This decision was made by the Minister of Health of Eritrea. This is a heartbreaking decision and will effect the health of the Eritrean people for generations.

  • Where is the project at now? Asmarino5 you have done well so far, but most of your documentaries do not have follow up stories. For E.g., this story begs for an uptodate progress the project. Thanks

  • Is is just amazing, the first graduates will graduate this coming september. If only Minister Meki was around to see it.

  • Asmarino5, you are on top of your games, were in the hale do you get your infos?? good freaking job!!! well reserved, partner....

  • I am so happy . I wish that other African nations would pay attention to the Eritrean model. We do not want you all to come by every year and perform surgeries and procedure. We want you to come and teach us to do it for ourselves all the time.

  • too bad doctors make only $40k a year after you graduate.

nurses make about the same too - only $40k a year.

  • @pharmacyiii It's time to stop just thinking about the salaries of the professionals and to start thinking of the number of people who are in need. They may not get paid like their peers, but they will get properly compensated. The country needs health professionals in different specialties to treat the amount of people suffering. This is a big step.

  • Good job Eritrea, see the white man is not that evil after all.
