  • I have kind of fine hair (it grows down also but used to grow up...lol) and we definitely should not use too many products that are heavy, especially at the roots. My hair loves most products, especially shea butter, creams, gels, and oils but I concentrate more on my ends than anything. I can make my styles look full based on how I use the product and styling. I love my hair thin or not because it may not be super thick but it will grow....lol. Nice video!

  • thanks for this video! I too have thin natural hair and after a series of abusive haircare, I've decided to do the big chop almost a month ago. With proper care for me, it's not breaking off every time I comb it anymore and it sheds very little. My challenge is get a full fro by next July! For now, it has grown a lot since the big chop so I feel confident! Thanks for your video!

  • lol monica I can't believe I found you on the yt! We have to do a video 2gether! Looking fab like always doll!

  • Hey Monica. I just came across your vids and I wanted to share a product that I have found that give my fine/thin hair volume. That product is Curl Love Moisture Milk by Camille Rose. When it first goes in and dries, my hair still looks thin, but after it dries and I scrunch and shake it out, its full, still defined and NON frizzy!

  • Hi, I am subbing because I am so happy to find another sister with really thin hair. Yesterday I went & got box braids, & I left that shop lookin' like Coolio with a fresh do!! I am not lying. My hair is fine, fine, fine, fine, super fine!! My box braids are about 3/4" square & the plaits we got from that size box is about the size of twine. I can hear you laughing girl, you need to stop & just pray for a sister. LOL LOL. I'm looking forward to following your vids. Much love.

  • I have the same problem.

  • i just made a list of youtube naturals with fine hair. i just stumbled across your video this morning after I posted mine. is it alright if i add you to the list that I already have?

  • I'm glad that I found you because I have the same problem. My hair hates heavy oils. I look around at the other naturals wondering why my hair doesn't style the same way theirs do and their hair so full. I think when you're dealing with the density of your hair, that is something you're born with and there's nothing you can do about it.

  • Hi Soror! Thanks for the video! You are certainly not alone!

  • Hello Soror! Wouldn't it be great if we could plan a natural meetup at Regional and Boule conferences??

  • @latoya1908 Hello there Soror,

Which region are you a part of? That would be totally amazing!

  • @MonicaWantsMoore I'm in the South Central Region (Houston, TX)

  • @MonicaWantsMoore Hello Sorors... I definitely agree that a natural meetup would be wonderful!!! I am apart of the Mid-Atlantic region...and just finished doing my 1st two strand twist...and my hair is thin but trying to get thicker...and been natural for 4 years so it was nice to see this video

  • I'm jealous of your ponytail

  • @nellieluvs0509 lol. sis! Dont be.

Its a puffy tail. I didn't have a rubberband or anything in it. It would probably be a lot smaller if I did. lol. Ur hair is probably much longer than mine u can do it.
