@mimejormusica Early on when Esther first began to translate from Abraham it was not so easy for her, it made Esther sounds awkward and hard sometimes. After doing it for a while (years) She's used to it and now when translating Abraham's thought, it's easy for her and it sounds more natural.
Whenever, I meditate, or at least attempt, I listen to my heartbeat, is this alright?
Also, I was wondering if I put forth affirmations during my meditation. I know that i'm supposed to be trying to quiet my mind, but wouldn't those affirmations come faster if I sent them forth when my mind is quiet (I hope)?
I really do need to know. Someone who has mastered meditation, please help me out.
Meditation is a time when you quiet the mind; you do your affirmations at another time. Personally, I prefer to just watch my breathe going in and going out - either at the nose or in the tummy. This is the traditional vipassana method. But there are lots of method. Try a few of them and stay with the method that agrees with your nature for a while.
Ok, but every time I try to concentrate on my breathing, I end up choking. I don't know if this is natural or what, but every time that I focus on something, my conscious mind takes over.
i also focus on my breath..have you tried music? i always have meditation music on in the background.. i remember reading about a meditation master who was looking out over a gathering of meditation-students and they all looked like they where trying too hard with discomfort in their faces -you cant struggle your way into meditation, its not do or die, relax.. he said.. or something like that.. ;)
Listening to your heartbeat is a great idea, it's calming, and soothing.
And it's not really the affirmations that manifest, it's the feelings, or connections to source. You can make a desire and never speak of it again, but as long as you're constantly downstream it can manifest in your experience. Meditation is a quieting of the mind, only focus on the meditation.
that was interesting to hear about the twitches and itches. they used to be so distracting but now I will look forward to them, I also get a rocking motion as I go deeper. Does anyone know what this means or what it is? Does anyone else get this ?
now i understand why do i get those twitches! i've been searching for a teacher to explain this to me for years! thanks abe! finally, i will not feel strange as i do my meditation...
The answer to your question is yes. It may sound harsh, but the reality is there is a part of you that is used to or comfortable with the negative things AND there is a part of you that is not comfortable with negative things. Your life is an indication of where both your latent and active attention is focused. The good thing is you always have the power to create what you really want.
Thank you!

"A yawn is a good indicator..."
Think about it. I realize, I never yawn if I'm feeling bad. When I'm really happy I go on spurts when I can't stop yawning. lol

So what happens when you have created negitive things. You want to allow more negitive things in your life?
