Kneeling in front of people is humiliating in any culture, I am hispanic and American and I have never kneel infront of anyone and I wouldn't do it even if they kill me and if I see my mom do it for me it would destroy me... I would never be happy or satisfied. I think that his mom did what every mother does she put herself last and left her pride behind to help her baby. Nice lesson for him...

From what I understand, his mother was begging the other parents and the teachers to forgive him because it was wrong to fight but he didn't actually acknowledge it being wrong. So, wanting to protect him, she did it instead of him. But I swear, seeing someone else taking the blame for you is the worst kinda feeling. It haunts you though both parties have forgive and forget. Especially a mother doing that.

For those who don't know, if you're confused why they started crying it's because kneeling is a HUGE deal in korean culture (and a lot of asian cultures actually) I'm not korean but from what i've studied, even doing a 90 degree bow is a huge sign of respect so his mom kneeling what probably very saddening and shocking to show she risked her pride to help him. its a very heartfelt and loving story and you can see how much she loves him. <3
