another good way to do it, is to basecoat it with Graveyard Earth, and then drybrush with Skull White or Bleached Bone:) Simples!!!

You know... Can't you just burn some pieces of wood and use that as rock?

It's exactly the same colour when it's all burned up and often a very nice shape as well.

I have never seen it done and it sounds GREAT!!!! It may be real brital and may crumble when you paint it but who Knows? VERY out side the box thinking !!!!! I LOVE IT!!!:)

Hey Bro!!!! Thats static grass!!!!Paint on green paint and sprinkel the stuff over it and it looks just like grass or moss. Hobby shops sell it:)!!!Take care Man!!!:)

I think everyone has way more than one friend that feels that way they just haven't met them yet:) Americana is prety much the same consitancy as the other two and onw with wet pallets they can paint like much thinner paints for artists who prefer that feel. I do use them on my figures if the colors right. Thanks so much for the kind words you guys are very theriputic for me. I can't thank you guys enough.

You use Americana? I have a friend who even paints his minis with it. do you use it on your minis as well or just terrain? What is your opinion on Americana paints?

Well, if wood can be made to look like rock, the next challenge will be to make a tree trunk from a rock:)! I was glad to see Steve put a vid up. Couldn't hear much, but it was just good to see him on camera...some things just require time to gather your self together...I am sure his grandson is already at work on him...the young have a way of pulling you back to focusing on life and not loss...God Bless...glad orders are coming in...talk to ya later...Jim.

Hehehe, Bill, we both had the same idea.

What do you think - is it necessary to "bake" the bark ? I did it because I was told there might be fungi and stuff like that in it. So I did it.
