I thought the reason it became used as an insult started when a person called Joey Deacon from the "Spastics society" appeared, and odviously was making lots of noise, and moving loads, and people used to use the name "Joey" and spastics more often.

I must admit I did find offensive at first but listening in a verry funny factual way what is saying scope isnt reconised and that f*king sp**tic word is more reconise than scope is true but it still leaves me with sadness that technicaly I will always be a sp**tic person and not a person with cerebal pulsy in which is what people will agknowage us suffers as Cerebal pulsy and not sp**tics but like others have said I love the bit at when he quietly wispers te corrects name of scope thats brill
