Where are you buying it? On Ebay you can get the webbie cheap. There are flaws with the camera such as it only records in MONO nor Stereo. The camera has an Aperture of 3.5 which doesn't make it very good for low light. Most good flash based camcorders have an Aperture of at least 2.0.

There are flaws to this camera but it makes the thing cheap. You could go to Sears, Best Buy, or any store and get this for at least $170. Or you could go to ebay and get one for about $100.

It does not do 1080i or 720i and it only has 5X zoom, unless your not using the one I know of.

That is what I did not like also!! About the sound this camera only comes with MONO Sound instead of Stereo.

However, check out the Aiptek its around $160.00. The Sound is way better and Low light is pretty good.

No the video can not be edited using windows movie maker. The Sony Webbie comes with a program called PMB. You can use this program to convert the file to WMA however, the video will loose the HD quality. Also, you can use PMB to edit the video. I use CyberLink DVD Suite Video Editing Program

I was on vacation and I just returned. The Camera is okay but I recomend that you check out the Aiptek HD Camera. The Video quality is allot better & sound. Also, you can use the camera as a voice recorder & for night video the camera does pretty good. The cost is around $160.00.

The Camera is Good if you take video during the day only.Also, the additional feature is that has 10x digital zoom capability. However, check out the Aiptek HD the quality on the Video is allot better, the sound is stereo and it does pretty good for night video recording. The disadvantage is that the Digital zoom is only 3x. The price is about $160.00.
