@ipokemyself Dear idiot - no, you're not supposed to pinch up the skin while dermal punching. Doing so will distort the resulting fistula created by the punch and change the depth. Also, muscle doesn't bleed like that. He likely nicked a capillary or small vein. It happens. And lastly, for someone with the username "I Poke Myself" you might want to think twice before calling someone a hack.

Also I would like to add if done correctly these should be done and over with in under 5 min. I do many of these piercings and it upsets me when I see youtube videos of people getting pierced by someone who is inexperienced. It frightens and deters people from enjoying and experiencing the art of piercing.

I am a professional piercer and I would just like to say that this piercer is very inexperienced at dermal insertion. For one he is using the wrong tool to insert the anchor. Two, the punching of the hole was done way to slow and should not have been screwed into your face. Granted after punching the hole the punch can be twisted to insure that the skin is completely seperated from the body. Also, after the hole was punched there was no need to wait that long to insert the anchor.

To everyone calling the piercer inexperienced and slow you obviously have no idea. I do piercings myself and dermals have a high tendency to bleed profusely considering you are scalpeling tissue. Seems like you don't know what your doing.

Maybe using tools that are designed for what your doing will help you and your clients better.

By the way, when you moved his skull cap and then touched a bunch of other stuff and then touched him again, that is called cross contamination. You should have changed your gloves.

Lastly, gauze does a much better job at absorbing bodily fluids and will not potentially leave micro-fibers in people's wounds like q-tip's can.
