Depends on the blade, I have one with 4 tpi and they literally pull the wood into them as they cut, if you don't hold onto your work it will, and has been, ripped from my hand and thrown.
dude have you ever used a band saw if you open the doors and spin the wheels with your hands it will cut through wood and your finger the bandsaw is probly the easiest thing to cut yor fingers of with
@990Davis099 i cut my finger halfway to the bone using a bandsaw, if it wasnt for reflexes and pulled back in about not even a second i woulda lost it
I am in the market for a 20" bandsaw...I already own a SawStop. If they make a large bandsaw, and they make it the same quality as their tablesaw, then I'd buy it right now.
Im 14 and wont buy a bandsaw. I do woodturning bowls and such and need one though. I would pay a fortune for one of these things.

It would be really hard to cut your finger off with a band saw 'cause the teeth on a band saw are tiny.
