i love Sydney Uni. I am currently undertaking the Master of Philosophy in Pharmacy MPhil(Pharm) and specializing in clinical pharmacy and particularly diabetes management in hospitals.. :))
in australia it comes down to one thing: your final year mark. we have IB recognition here and there are secondary schools that offer IB here so you will be competing with local IB students. extra curriculars here really don't matter at all unless its for art school
why is ANU rankied so much higher than sydney in world rankings when ANU is easier to get into, usyd has an amazing history, is very prestigous and has probably the highest uai cutoffs on the country? i just don't get it. somebody help me, i'm either going here,ANU, or university college london
im a british citizen at the moment but i can get a aussie citizenship because my mum was australian, i am going to study in aussie, and i will arrive about 6 months before uni starts so i can adjust, would i still count as a aussie citizen in the HECS (HELP) programme?
The only thing good about Syd uni is that its old!! They brag on about it being prestigious because its the oldest uni in Australia. Being the oLdest uni in Australia doesn't necessary mean its academically the best.
uni in AUS are very different from the states, here no one cares about extracurriculars they just care about marks, they only take in consideration your end of year mark, which would be for you your SAT and your GPA for your final senior year and there is a mark cutoff. lets say you wanted to do psychology, in terms of uai that would be 98-99 (out of 100). so that'd be like an SAT score between 770-800 and a GPA of 3.8-4. i wish sum1 told u this earlier because you porb won't read this now
It all depends on what you want. UMel now has a new model called Melbourne Model that only offers 6 Undergrad degrees; and all specialisations are only offered at the Postgrad level. Whereas USyd retains the old Australian university system
OMG soo cute…
