I wonder if in the way you go out of the trick, the strings are on the correct position. - mine are always switched, when i try it this way.

yeah i have the alluminium sticks with the tip and it pisses me off when it catches. and my carbon ones dont have the tip but feel too light :/ i miss wooden sticks :P

I don't know if I got carbon or aluminium (gift).. :(.. but one just broke! I mean like it bends like crazy and feels like cracking any moment... gonna get carbon too.. Deffinitly!! (but I heard it breaks easily when you accidentally step on it or something?)

He causes slack in the string by quickly taking the stick and hitting it into the string so that all of the extra string forms a hoop that then whips into the gap of the diabolo.

I only know this because I'm used to seeing slack stuff.
