I agree with most of what you said but I cannot remember anytime in the debates and primaries leading up the presidential election itself that Obama promised to remove troops of Afghanistan. I remember hearing him talk about withdrawing from Iraq and putting more troops in Afghanistan but I never recall hearing him talk about completely withdrawing from Afghanistan. I mean that sounds a bit more like Ron Paul.

I am proud of our country and we should respect and support our president on both sides of the isle, this is a great win for America. He doesn't seem to be boasting about his prize, and he seems just as surprised as we are to have received the prized. So I don't understand why people are just using his nobel prize win as an excuse to point out his so called egocentricity. All I hear from the political right wing are Ad Hominem attacks against Obama, seldom do I hear credible arguments.

As far as his committing more troops in Afghanistan. Ofcourse. Don't confuse national security with flexing muscle. Most people around the world had no problem with G-Dubya going to Afghanistan, it's his going to Iraq which defied Logic that brought backlash.

The award is meant for someone who accomplished peace through solving a crisis, fixing a conflict, etc. What has Obama done? He got nominated 12 days into his Presidency for 287 hours of work? Name 1 TANGIBLE accomplishment and I'll give you props for your stance. Otherwise, you and anyone else who thinks Obamarxist deserves this is still sipping on his Kool Aid. Someone told me the Nobel Prize nomination period ended Feb 10th. If this is true, then he was only Pres 2 - 3 weeks at most. What did he do? All he did was close Guantanomo. Trained klllers will either be released or transferred to US prisons to recruit, organize and train in this country. Am I missing something?

OMG, Peace, talk is cheep. A major war going on and he wants to send more troops to wage war. I dont call that peace. Increasing humanitarian services is a move in a peaceful direction. Adding protection in the secure areas of war torn countries is a peaceful direction, but adding more U.S. warriors to the region to wage more war is not a peaceful sign. This is truly a screwed-up world where appearance is everything and substance with a backbone of honor means nothing. God save us.
