This helps me to not only fill in a link in the timeline that I created about Black History but it helped me to understand how many corporations in America either created or maintained wealth. A lot of the "slaver" tribes didn't exist before an enormous international market for slaves developed. These tribes got weapons, goods, and all the colonial support they needed to dominate their neighbors.

Large scale slavery isn't normally viable in de-centralised, low-population societies.
