  • profit. That is why you see black males dominating the prison system today. It's not because we are more prone to commit crimes as a people but that there are conditions that we are put in and police that target us. They know that the majority of young black males do not have the resources or political connections to get themselves out of harsh sentences. In addition, the media creates an atmosphere that makes people fear us. Thus, we are guilty until substantially proven innocent (Darryl Hunt).

  • There is some important information that I hope everyone caught. First of all, Mr. Blackmon said that there were laws on the books that didn't specify black people but basically the target was black people. You can co-relate this to the pants sagging laws and crack vs. meth laws and how they are executed today. Secondly, I hope that people understand that the creation of peonage spawned the birth of the prison industrial complex. The PIC is a conspiracy to lock black males up in prison for

  • This is why most of my family move to the North!

  • @1pitchblack If you learn about the race riots of the early 1900's you'll see similar incidents occurred in the North. Check Springfield, Chicago, etc.

  • Damn this is very upsetting to see this!

  • This is trickery, This is to keep your mind off of whats going on now.

  • Why bring up this bullshit again. Look whats happening around you now! Slavery is alive right here. Why not do a movie about black wall street how we had it goin on. And the white cracka's came and destroyed it all.

  • @Zari7000 This needs to be brought up because many don't know about this. The more people who learn and talk about this the better. This helps me to not only fill in a link in the timeline that I created about Black History but it helped me to understand how many corporations in America either created or maintained wealth. I can also relate the conspiracies and experiences of what Black people went through back then to what we are currently going through as a people today.

  • i've known this info, but it is good to have the particulars. Knowing history is so powerful. If you don't know what happened, then you won't understand what's happening. & the privatization of prisons is more than suspicious.

  • selective image; people don't fall for this mind game.Slavery didn't happen the way you think it did. White people are trying to get credit for something they didn't create. In Africa when tribe lose they , would be enslave by each other. The truth about the slavery the african was the dealer of slavery, which mean tribes they didn't like, and etc/.

  • Slavery has existed for as long as we've had agrarian society.

Whites were slaves to blacks as wel and no one talks about that

  • Well you be the one to talk about it...how will they know if they are not educated?....

  • @thevoiceofthewounded I tell people all the time. Google the term "Barbary Slaves" and share the information as well. Slavery wasnt the worst thing that happened to black people...it was the fact that it was institutionalized based on skin color that was the issue

  • I home school my children and we've already spoken of this subject many times so they know that blacks weren't the only ones who were enslaved.... but I will share that info with others too when the topic comes up.

And yes...it is a sad fact that skin color got involved perhaps thats why it is felt so strongly by those who have that same skin color.

  • @ChristiansMustLearn That was the most ignorant comment you could make!!! What WAS the worst thing to happen to Black People, since you are supposed to know?

  • @ChristiansMustLearn Was it worse than the system of slavery we went through? I don't think so!!

  • A lot of the "slaver" tribes didn't exist before an enormous international market for slaves developed. These tribes got weapons, goods, and all the colonial support they needed to dominate their neighbors.

Large scale slavery isn't normally viable in de-centralised, low-population societies.

  • Only a dumb devil would say some dumb shit like that...

Everyone knows it's only partially true.

But a man was freed after 7 years and didn't suffer the atrocity, that slaves did at the hands of you damn devils!!

  • @achcunam Even though they were enslaved(called booty) from war, they were treated with respect. It was stated in those days to also let them go afer a prescribed period of time. Or did you just skip over that fact. If you're going to tell a story, or give an opinion, make the other facts available also. Unless you just want to continue the blind ignorance, which I believe is the case. Truth is truth. I'm sorry you want to keep making excuses for what your people participated in.

  • @achcunam Yet i know you find it frustrating to deal with this truth. If you want to get mad, why don't you get mad at the fact that this terrible atrocity was done right here in the good ole' U.S. of A. by those who were haters of a people who had done NOTHING to them but live their lives!! Europeans who felt African people were inferior to them. Go tell them off, go check them since you are so adament to defend those who were responsible for this deed. Bet you can't, or should I say WOULDN'T!!

  • @agent2020 , am not saying slavery is over, or what the guy is wrong. I am just say, what is the motive to keep repeating histroy if nothing is going to be done about cause I find that to be a form of abuse, to keep tell peoples, what is wrong and never give a solution. so, before you make me sound like a demon; please read my comment carefully. as long as I concern the black people world wide image has been hi-jack for sinister purpose, that make us awful on TV

  • @achcunam I agree. I mistook you for a hater who always puts us down every chance they get. Please accept my apology. I try to get peoples attention and get them focused to our struggle. No disrespect was EVER intended to you.

  • @agent2020 , I had to retype it cause i saw the error, I love black history from the black preception.

  • 13th Amendment: Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, EXCEPT as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Notice I capitalized Exept... this is a very important word.. What it is saying.. If you break any laws "we" have created, then your therfore are not subjucted back into slavery via (State & Federal Institutions).

  • But yet most caucasians will be against the idea of reparations.

And this is not the end in WW2, they still produce prison industrial complex on Black Folks Backs.

And yet and still Barak the magic negro will not address the issue, .....how convenient !!!

  • You must hear the story of Jamie and Gladys Scott, 15 years so far of a double life sentence for a crime that never happened in Mississippi.

  • the people are not so call afro americans are black people but are the children of israel the choose of the most high and all that mistreated them will pay this so call black people are the true israelites the choose people of YHWH the creator of heven and earth the one that created man and woman isaiah 60: 14 say the sons also of them that afficted you shall come bending unto you and all they that despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet and theyshallcallyouthecityofYHWH

  • SELAH...

  • stfu with your nonsense. Black people don't nee some useless supremacist belief or tales derived from a work of human mythology to detract from mission of true emancipation of ourselves and the world.

  • Thank you! Well said.

  • Peace and Blessings to all my Asiatic Black Family...I thank God that those of us who are waking up to "OUR REALITY" are now being fed truth through these Authors, scholars etc...So please bro's and sis's let's join in Truth together for it is OUR WAY OUT! thanxz

  • lol well a white person is saying it so it might get their attention /sigh

  • Its ironic cause the movie "Life" w/ Eddie Murphy& Martin Lawrence is what this was exactly about! And I always felt that u couldn't derive a comedic premise from that movie! If no one believes me, go watch the movie.

  • I'm so proud of my ancestors they endured so many hardships for us. We dishonor them by forgetting our history and not learning about what they went thru in this racist country.

  • there nothing to be proud of,what?you proud that your ancestors have been beating??are you STUPID!!

  • The real question: is Do you understanding what you are reading ? Yes I am proud of my ancestors they have suffered MANY hardships and still prevailed. Only a dumbass white boy would come to the conclusion like yours.

  • im black,im not afro american shit,im haitian,my ancestors(haitian) have been mislead but at least they descendants his not brainwashed as you afro american is.Black American HIS A LAUGH,bunch of slavery name.Haitian have african name, lol.

  • I'm Black too...you need to get out more no uses" Afro American" and learn to speak English brother. Maybe you'll understand what people are typing.

  • Fuck that if I was alive back then... I would have taken out 30 white people before they took me out damn it.... Black people had nothing to lose back then!

  • I would take the hammer and sickle and savage a few white men...viva la revolucion!

  • No wonder those bricks are so red!

  • We cannot forget the disenfranchised votes of Blacks and other minorities in 2000 and 2004.

  • Remember the results of the acts of the fathers, good or bad, will eventually be meeted out to his sons and the son's son until such time when the original act is fully forgiven.
