  • I LOVED it. Your facials were priceless, I think Donald O'Connor would have been proud. You definitely made me laugh, nicely done :) Oh, and had to add. Love the audience "Wooooo!" and you "Ah haaaah!"

  • I LOVED it. Your facials were priceless, I think Donald O'Connor would have been proud. You definitely made me laugh, nicely done :)

  • This was so amazing! It would be my DREAM to play Cosmo (My school is doing singing in the rain next year) but I'm a girl so... =(

  • this guy is hysterical. i might have to marry him.

  • In my opinion, this number nearly rivals the original performance.Good show.

  • This was fantastic!

God has blessed you with talent!

  • Oh, is there footage of him doing Good Morning?

  • Richard Lovegrove is great!

  • Papercut! hilarious like 5:30-40

  • too good for words!!!!!!!! amazing :)

  • OMG!! i loved it! his improv was amazing!!! woot woot!!

  • Damn that was amazing, if only there was some charismatic students like this at my school. I have a play I want to produce, but there are no actors here.... Damn High School..

  • This was probably the best version of this song besides the movie. : )

    AWESOME!

  • Cosmo is GREAT! the beginning of his song is a little off, but he catches up. The gags are great!

Really the only bad thing about this video is...don. I'm sorry, his voice bugged me. ANYWAY, GREAT job. Im' choreographing this and i'm probably going to use this a lot.

  • he milked it WAY too much in plces, but overall not too bad

  • lmao to 5:04

  • lmao very funny gud job

  • This guy just butcherd it for me

  • OMG!!! Thats soo funnny, Not as good as the movie one. But I LOL so hard!!

  • Wow, that was fantastic! "PAPER CUT!" XDDD

  • As a HUGE HUGE fan of Singin' In The Rain,I've seen this dance many times, but never performed this well by anyone other than ole' Donald himself. That was fabulous!!!!

  • HAHAHA I liked that better than old Donnie's original in the movie! especially the audience interaction and the stretcher bit at the end. Excellent!!!

  • It makes me want to see the whole thing!

  • Who said the pit band stunk? Way better than anything we had at my high school. They seem pretty good not knowing the ful stage written music. About everything over all, the ending stunk and the jokes were cheesy, but didn't work, not even in old fashioned cheesy goodness. I think the director tried too hard or something.

  • WOW luv tis

  • amazing!! that was a GREAT preformance!!! very talented!

i liked the "thank you" to the audience at the begining

  • It isn't easy to play this part of Donald o'Connor! Good work Richard, I laughed!!!!

  • the part where they tear the paper is pretty funny...

  • Is this a high school production? They're *asking* for the laughs. Sorry, but I was as bored as the audience. The only funny part was when he said "Thank you" to the audience for finally chuckling, then they really laughed because they took it as a *genuine* thanks from the actor, dying up there.

Sorry, but it was awful. And if that wasn't enough, the pit band sucked too. It's sad when the director relies on the film version. Oh, and that paper thing at the end, ugh.

    I'll stick with the movie.

  • Just want to clarify, I place the blame squarely on the uninspired director.

  • Not bad at all!

  • So great!!! Thaaank you!!! *laugh*

  • Paper CUT!!! You are VERYYYY talented! Not to mention very cute!

  • Thata Richard!! such a talented guy. extremely funny all the time

  • he cant sing but he does make me laugh

  • Dude, I'm impressed!

    Nice work fellow Newtownian! :D

  • Very Very good, very funny as well. I see that he tried to make the choreography almost exactly the same as the film, which is a good thing, but on the film, it could be done in around 20 takes to get it perfect. This was just one chance, no retakes, so very very good.

  • Not only 1 chance, but about 20 performances, sometimes 2 a day.

  • this dude cant sing 4 his life!!!

  • it doesn't matter if he can't sing. can he make you laugh?

  • yeah what the hell is up with don? why does he talk like that

  • Hate tht don

  • Impressive! but trying to match don oconnor on this one is just impossible. I was kinda hoping you'd run up the wall though!!

  • yeah they wouldnt let him, but the idea is not to compare as richard and Don are not the same person :)

  • Gene Kelly and Donald O'Conner did better

  • I loved this so much, you really performed this so well. This is my favorite part in the movie overall and I thought you did a fantastic job portraying Cosmo! I cracked up the entire time.

  • I had to laugh at this comment:

why are they doing the dialog from the movie, some of that stuff isn't in the musical

The movie came first; all stage productions are from the movie.

I cringed at his "Really, Pagliaci." It's "Ridi, Pagliaccio." He missed the reference, apparently, to the opera.

  • True, thanks for the heads up. Dosen't it also piss you off how I didn't run up the wall

  • where is this theater?

  • It's in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia -- about 80 kilometres north of Sydney.

The amateur musical society puts on 3 musicals a year and 2 junior shows.

  • Doesn't piss me off, O'Connor was supposedly hospitalized from exhaustion after the filming of that song.

  • @fxfxsound That IS how Donald O'Connor pronounced it in the movie...

  • richards my teacher

  • why are they doing the dialog from the movie, some of that stuff isn't in the musical

  • yeah is the guy that's playing Don trying to do a Gene Kelly impression or something?

  • He did a really great job!! He definately made me laugh! :D Awesome job!! :D

  • I like the guy who plays Cosmo, but the guy who plays Don ends all his lines the same way, making him seem quite repetitive and annoying(at least to me, if you think he's good then ignore me).

  • @sabyr I agree!!! Oh gosh was his voice annoying! It sounded all through the nose and he didn't seem realistic. But I agree, the man playing Cosmo was splendid!

  • I go to mad cow theatre, richard is my teacher, he also went 2 my school...lol

  • heyy i saw oliver i saw east
