I've been a fan of KFC all my life. I have lived in Japan for 7 years, periodically travelling back to the states. I can tell you with 100% certainty that all KFC chicken tastes awful in Japan as compared to back home.

When Colonel was bought out, they changed SO MUCH of his recipe, there was a very definate change in the recipe. Japanese KFC kept more authentic to what the Colonel wanted, which is good quality fried chicken that hasn't been skimped on with cheap ingrediants, regardless of flavour.

My fav in Japanese KFC (before I was vegan) was the Red Hot Sandwich, cajun crispy fried chicken with wasabi mayo!!!....Don't front they have regular chicken there and traditional Japanese spins as well. Same with fast food in many countries have their own traditional fast foods there as well.
