Isn't it racist to assume they're making fun of another race, or culture by saying that chant is racist? Some of you have identified the chant as a "non-white" thing, and because white people are doing it, they have no right to do it. Identifying it as a Pacific Islander chant, or something else just means you're the one who stereotyped it as that. The group just kinda made it up. Why don't you question why there's Asians in the Thor movie? There are no such people in Norse mythology. LOL.

Unlike today's pitch challenged pop singers, this guy can sing his ass off live. I knew the studio version was very clean, but I like this even better. Hats off!
@CatapultYourMom You have to remember that this was the mid-1970's when there was just this overall selling of songs going on that had to have hooks that would make the tunes unique. For this remakes the "ookachakka" chants were those hooks. Overall this is still one of the best remakes ever.
This song brings back many great memories of my junior year in HS. Don Kirshner certainly wasn't Mr. Excitement when it came to announcing musical acts.
