Damn miss Darius in the league. Remember watching him on the clips, could've should've been great. He was like a mini KG. Damn knee injury. Took him and penny out the game
@etthelost dont blame the knee injury on his failure. if he added ANYTHING else to his game apart from dunking he could've played 12+ years. He didnt want it.
The only thing that held Miles back was his knee injury... As well as Penny Hardaway given that if they would have stayed healthy... Miles would have still been in the league, for a swingman such as Miles who's very athletic and dynamic, also defensively sound... I mean the man was pretty much the type of player who did everything on the court, you wanted on him on the court the whole game, before there was Melo there was Miles, Miles plays defense Melo mmm well you judge that, look it up...
He would still be in the league if he had a decent jump shot. Thats the problem with players whose whole game is based on their athleticism. Teams just wont take a chance on them anymore. Especially, if they're old and their knees are bad. But Miles was also a good defensive player and rebounder so he had at least somethin to back his game up.
He hasn't made it out of training camp yet. And he still has to play in the preseason after that. Lets hope that he makes the final cut. If he doesn't get cut he'll most likely be a third stringer.
@ohthatsportsguy hahaha alrite go 2 charlotte bobcats summer league roster, den u click on da Orlando Summer League Schedule & Roster | NBADraft.net once u click it u scroll down 2 da bobcats roster, u'll see all da players including DARIUS MILES
@dannyj232323 no...if he hadnt gotten injured he wouldve been the more agressive version of lebron james...and kg plays the 4 and 5 and darius never played the 4 in his life
@ohthatsportsguy he actually was a 4 his junior year of high school...and if he agreed to play for illinois, he would have been a 4 there. but i agree with your assumption that he wouldve been lebron james if he had time to develop.
He's got some of LeBron's fundamentals(rebounding, shot-blocking, athleticism). All he really needs is a jump shot. He's going to need one at this point in his career because most of his athleticism is gone. But your right, if he did go to college he would've been more developed. A player of his caliber would've needed all 4 years. If he followed that plan than yes, I think he would've been the poor mans version of LeBron.
Haha man....this clip takes me back. All things seemed possible then, for D-Miles and for myself. Now D-Miles is forgotten and Q-Rich has become a punchline.
he is so clever in his attack to the rim by taking his 1st step early so he can't dunk but then players cannot react quick enough and jump to block and he just holds it one handed and lays it in. that moved is harder to stop then a guy trying to dunk
big fan of d-miles, i see natural ability and all round game, NBA teams see a scapegoat, how unfortunate.
man fuck his knees

Actually, what held him back was a lack of a brain.
Def had the tools to be a great NBA player. And I mean great.
