In that case, anything by Red Fang or Kyuss is radio-friendly. 2. People say who say that it's worse than their old material tend to not like "progressive" metal.

Mastodon has been my favorite band for several years (yeah this account is old) and I think The Hunter is my favorite album of theirs. Metalheads tend to not like change.

I know I'm one of thousands who say this, but after a week of bathing in Mastodon brutality, I have to say they layer the music so perfectly and create a battleground of epic slaughter that I have not a heard a band do in 36 years. Yes, I crave slayer, appreciate other metal bands, love all the different genres, but for me Mastodon is the most brilliant band I can remember in my life.
