Brother, i can see what brings you to your conclusions, and i used to think the same way too. At least up until i had this astounding Revelation that the last 4 chapters in the book of Daniel are out of order. @halobenders84 the catholic church is not a true Christian church. Many of their practices were adopted from the pagan religion of rome. Their doctrines, such as the eucharist, confirmations, ash wednesday, praying to mary and saints, etc. are not even in the Bible. We are not suppose to destroy the catholic church but to lead those deceived by their doctrines, to the Way of truth.

In Matthew15:14 you have a City built on a hill that gives light to all in the world. It can only be the Roman Catholic Church. Another clue is that Christ said no one puts this light underneath a basket(Matthew15:15). The Catholic Church was established by Christ and has been ever present, not hidden as some protestants claim.

What don't you understand, Vatican City is within Rome but is not built on one of the seven hills of Rome. The Whore of Babylon in bible prophecy is pagan Rome not christianized Rome.

The Bible instructs us that the woman on the beast would be situated exactly where the area of the City on Seven Hills once was. Quite plainly, it very clearly is in the same place. However, it cannot possibly be talking about the ancient pagan Rome, since that Rome didn't last for 1260 years. There are many cities with seven hills including Brussels(The capital of the European Union), Seattle Washington, Moscow, and Istanbul(the former capital of the Eastern Roman Empire) and others. The significance it has for the end of the world, or the end of this age, is that it may signal an Empire like that of pagan Rome rising again. It may be why John gave a numerical code for Caesar Nero(666), and why the angel cries out, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!"(Revelation18:2).
