  • Hey,

your cameraman Paul Valiulis must have his roots in Lithuania. Give him regards from the old country if you meet him someday!

  • @beholderlt I think that is where Paul's family comes from. Paul however died in a diving swimming accident a few years ago. Which sucks cause he was a good cameraman and I could ski better then him. (one of the few that I can ski better)

  • @mikebarter387 I'm very sorry to hear this..

  • great video! After cleaning an anchor I only rappel down with a prussik backing me up.

  • I really dont like the prussik anymore... I used to use it, but its harder to tie and looks messier than a klemheist or bachman. Still a great hitch however

  • you should have a channel dude

  • tight.

  • appreciate the info in this video

i want to ask why the professionals like the one in the video prefer the prussik over the Blake's hitch. is there something about the prussik that makes it more special than the other friction hitches?

  • Love the videos. I use them as a refresher when I should be working, but get distracted by the view of the High Sierras from my office.

I noticed that you use a three wrap prussik. We use a three wrap for rescue use, but have been instructed that a two wrap is acceptable for personal use.

Just wondering what your thoughts are?

(I'm a member of Sequoia Mountain Rescue, and this very thing came up at our last personal rope skills training.)

  • Gripping, educational.
