  • is this a teaser for penn jillette's new BBQ TV show.

  • Ok Todd Eng, you've got it right except for one thing. Clean your grill with a wire brush AFTER you've finished grilling - not before. When you clean it right after you take the food off, the grill and the food particles will be hot, so using the wire brush will be much easier and more effective. Plus, if you instead clean the grill before you use it, the remnants from your last grilling session will fall in the fire and burn, and impart a bad flavor to your food.

  • Intentionally mashing up your meat when doing the wrong way was a good touch to make it seem less appealing.

  • im sooooooo hungry

  • it seems like he's too close to the fence... if you take your eye off... the whole place goes up in smoke...

  • Or fire wood and diesel fuel

  • no thats the fun way

  • When he sprayed that fluid (sorry I'm not english and don't want to waste time opening up a translator just to trash that douche) over the grill, the flame could have easily gone up into the bottle and explode, too bad it didn't

  • @JoesPlaying You spoke perfectly. Would not of noticed.

  • @Awgez24 lol

  • @JoesPlaying lol he isnt dumb he obviously stopped squirting when the fire jumped at him

  • @ikir14 LOL yeah but nobody should spray like that anyways

  • Hank Hill would be mad.

I sell propane and propane accesories.

  • that fire would make a hell of a barbecue.....damn i miss having a barbecue

  • i use charcoal pencil

  • The right way looks so much tastier... -drool-

  • excuse me?

  • I don't have any newspaper, can I substitute an iPad? Does it need to be wifi-enabled to receive the news?

  • @eviloatmeal

You can go some old guys garbage can (because old guys don't recycle and they don't get news from the net ) and find some newspaper. Save you iPad, or else your hamburgers will be really exspensive.

  • @000MrAnderson Get with the times! My whole neighborhood has trash disposal, no more garbage cans. =P

  • @eviloatmeal

Relax. Read the whole thread. I'm not your enemy.

  • Or, use an electric starter. The advantage to using an electric starter is that it's cleaner. The disadvantages are that you'll need an extension cord and an electric outlet nearby, and that electric starters eventually break. Despite that, I prefer an electric starter (it's a heating element with a handle attached) because newspaper tends to be a bit messy - sometimes it doesn't all burn up and when you lift the chimney starter, scraps of unburned newspaper fly out.

  • i really only watch these videos when im hungry

  • fatty

  • Seriously tastes better the way the Mr. Todd there does it. All you complaining otherwise are either too lazy, too egotistical, or are taking offense by this video since you did it the not-as-gourmet "wrong" way. This video is a TIP for Gods' sake.

  • Get a haircut.

  • nice tips, thanks! esp on the type of charcoal.

  • aww, come on, don't clean the grill... the leftover bits on the grating gives it extra flavor!

  • lol how can people argue on this video... just say thanks for the tip... there are always people trying to outsmart the dumbest things on Youtube xD

  • learn how to properly make a fire, then u dont need to buy this crap

  • What the heck is "newspaper"?

  • @ghuegel dunno, google it

  • @stalkersas I think I'll look it up in the phone book. Or maybe I'll call information. Oh, I'll just ask the village elder, he'll know.

  • your a dumbass, if you have ever grilled you will know the taste and smell of burning lighter fluid, scentless fluid refers to the smell before its lit, meaning its not pungent when you open the bottle, or spill some on the ground...

  • "your a dumbass"

    "your"

    i stopped reading there faggot.

  • @Vnix use lighter fluid then talk

  • i love barbecue !! :D

  • chimney starters ftw

  • chimey starters are the way to go.. i burned my eyebrow trying to do it with lighter fluid and being impatient :) you just set it up (literally takes 2 minutes) and go prep your food.. 15-20 mins later you have insanely hot charcoal

  • Israeli way is with lemon and olive oil

  • I have that same chimney starter. I works really well. BTW just because its not your way doesn't mean its the wrong way..maybe they like the taste of lighter fluid.

  • good tip .since the gas grills no longer have lava rocks it isn't the same so may as well go the extra mile and go to chacoal which was the best anyway

  • I never understood people who use lighter fluid. I grew up doing it the way in this video.

  • we´re living in a fast time - that´s why people do it the wrong way all the time!

  • with her little sister. The girl dozed off quickly.

  • Why does my chicken thighs burn? Are we suppose to close the lid or keep them open?

  • craponusa, i fail to see how grilling is equivalent to a guide on how to be a fat american.

  • iv been doing this for all my life with my father

  • use a propane bbq for best results

  • Do you use weber grill?

  • you a bit late there buddy

  • ha ha ha ha ha

  • lol

  • Or if you live in California you can throw your meat on a wild fire.

  • The chimney's been around for decades. We had one back in the 50's. No lighter fluid, but you get a bunch of burnt paper flying around in your food. The best way to light is with an electric lighter. No burnt paper, no fluid taste.

  • another grill expert... just what youtube needs.

  • Hey guys Jesus loves you and died for all your sins

  • Sunday encontre este video How To Grill the Right Way Random Content muy bueno allthemarket . net

  • The right way is to get a stand with a propane powered flame on it then set a piece of round mesh to hold the charcoles. After a while of the charcole flamed it will be fully lite and hot; then you just dump the charcole in a reg bbq.

  • im so hungry, it looks so good.....wtf asparagus?? get out of here u vegetable!

  • Five stars from me, well done (the vid, not the meat)

  • i have even cooked on the chimney using only a few pieces of charcoal. i sit the grill grate on top and it cooks realllly fast! try it!!

  • mmmmmmmmmm...grilled asparagus is awesome...lol

  • great job man!!

you going to have okawari beer at your izakaya?

  • Sunday found this video How To Grill the Right Way Random Content very good 1infonet . com

  • i love starting the chimney

  • ´lol the "wrong" way meat looks better!

  • i beg to differ

  • not at all, are you high, the "wrong" way looks like it has cancer

  • cancer tastes gooood *drooolz*

  • id say go to the medical center. i bet they would pay you pretty good for disposal of medical leftover.

  • lol, omyom

  • the wrong one did look very good

  • thats why the internet is better then american school like the one i go to

ya dun learn shit that'll even let ya remember anyting usefull

  • Americans are pro when it comes to fastfood and sweets.

  • wow, thats REAL charcoal

  • a couple train cars full of coal got off track and spilled all over near my house awhile ago i shoulda got some of it it woulda worked great for grilling

  • another great "how to"

    love the chow channel

  • Chimney is too smoky and leaves paper ash. Much better is an electric fire starter. Mound charcoal briquettes (his lump charcoal burns too fast for me) around loop, and plug in. Fifteen min later the fire is started evenly with minimal smoke and no lighter fluid odor. They cost about $13 and last three years.

  • I agree about the chimney, but from my experience, briquettes burn faster, and the taste difference is huge. I haven't used an electric lighter, I'll definitely check one out.

  • Thanks ... I did not mean the presaturated briquettes, which stink and burn quickly ... just the standard Kingsford.

I also avoid the generic briquettes ... ever see colors of green and red in ash? They'll do it!

    =)

  • Great advise thanks!

  • how cold the right charcoal give the food " a nice smoky taste" issent charcoal almost pure carbon or something? yes a grill with charcoal gives of some smoke but thats most from the fat dripping from the food, and that doesn't rely taste that good. but if you put wold chips on the charcoal and keep the lid on for a minute or two that wold give a full bodyd smoke taste. or bye the wold chips from ABU.

  • thank you very much

  • propane!

  • its suck

  • but then you got ink fuumes and ink crap inside your food? from the newspapper?

  • In no instance. it is burned

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • well, we clean our grill after using and dont let old burned meat on it untill we use it again, puke

  • cool. I use the charcoal chimmney also. But, your neighbors will bitch about the smoke.. :(

  • I use a chimney, and my neighbors, who are not far away, never complain. I would think the nasty smell of burning lighter fluid would be much more offensive than the natural wood smoke smell of my lump. I honestly see no reason why anyone would need lighter fluid. The chimney works very well with briquettes too, so why use the fluid?

  • because the lighter fluid companies want to make some extra money, so they cater to idiots who don't know how to grill who think that big flames = better and faster grilling.

  • i actually dont mind the smell of barbeque smoke..its awsome!

  • LOL. If your neighbors complain they must be VERY very close.. funny
