Scratching is dope it reminds me of when I use to bboy, all the variations and styles each DJ can have it makes them unique, all the practice involved and such
headphones are for monitoring&cueing up songs, esp. for mixtapes,clubs and bars during long periods of time. if your just doing a 10 or 15min scratch routine, most likely you can get by without the use of headphones- that is of course by way of practice,rehearsal, preperation and just plain ol being a good dj!
