Couldn't agree more with kagome915's comments below. I also saw them in the summer of '79 when they opened for Blondie, at the San Diego State University amphitheater. They totally smoked Blondie! Still hoping for a Rockpile reunion someday...
@kagome915 I saw that tour as well, in Atlanta. They were held to one encore and after Blondie finished people were calling for Rockpile. Blondie's bass player was so disgusted he just dropped his bass on the stage after their encore.
@bsharples Same happened when I saw them in Cincinnati. A buddy of mine was standing on his chair screaming for Rockpile. Blondie's dick bass player didn't drop his bass and leave or spit on anyone like I saw him do when he played with Iggy Pop for goodness sakes.
