Led Zepellin at the time were seen as very heavy and their music was considered very new and original. Usually bands like them would play rock (which is effectively faster and heavier blues) but the Zepp played very differently and then the genre was formed and bands like black sabbath continued the style.
Over time that style has been twisted and ruined into the noise we hear today! A7X are a decent metal band.
i hav not been 'brainwashed' by any new metal music. i dnt reli listen to any new music, except for trivium.
deep purple and black sabbath both created the genre of 'pure' heavy metal with ther 1970 releases. zeppelin wer a hard rock band!

i would say that deep purple were probably the first metal band, there first record was released in 68 while zeppelins was in 69. plenty of trivium songs are melodic and tuneful. and heafy nd coreys solos are far better than synyster gates'.

I fucking love WTF and liked CoE but the self titled album? I listened maybe 4 or 5 times to it (while i listened 70 times to WTF and 40 to City of Evil.). The songs are well written but A7X became way too soft and mainstream. I used to call A7X my fav band, but now they're just "another band I listen to once in a while". Just because a band changes the way they sing, it doesn't mean they aren't a good band, in fact. They were genius to add a lot of new instruments. And the singing itself is really good. clearly the people who LOVED A7X and now don't just hate change. At first I didn't like some of the songs, but that was when I would listen to like 40 seconds of the song. In order to like music, you have to listen to the full song. $20 half of you that hate the new CD haven't listened to the whole CD.

Hahaha! You have been brainwashed by all new "music" which is classified as metal.
Led Zepellin at the time were seen as very heavy and their music was considered very new and original. Usually bands like them would play rock (which is effectively faster and heavier blues) but the Zepp played very differently and then the genre was formed and bands like black sabbath continued the style.
Over time that style has been twisted and ruined into the noise we hear today! A7X are a decent metal band.

deep purple and black sabbath both created the genre of 'pure' heavy metal with ther 1970 releases. zeppelin wer a hard rock band!
as for a7x being metal your wrong. they are another HARD ROCK band. ther older stuff was metalcore. not heavy metal. just cos they write in drop d dusnt make them metal. if u think a7x r metal u may aswell call bullet for my valentine metal too.

Anyway, A7X are heavier than zepp and sabbath put together and so they are metal BUT they have a lot of songs which aren't metal.
Hard rock is stuff like Black Stone Cherry or even Guns N' Roses.
And bullet are metal too, (Or metalcore, same thing really) but they used to be an emo band.
(Much like A7X.)

screaming and agressive vocals are more or less a trademark of heavy metal, and riffs dnt have to be ridiculously complicated to be good. hardly any a7xs riffs are complicated and if anything triviums r more complicated. zepelin were NOT metal. i askd my dad and he says they wer nowhere near.

And I know not many of A7X riffs are complex but it doesn't matter because their songs are melodic and very tuneful; they have great lyrics, passionate and soulful singing by Shadows and mind blowing solos from Syn.
Zepp WERE metal! Sure, they were more rock influenced than anything but they were pretty much the first metal band!

i would say that deep purple were probably the first metal band, there first record was released in 68 while zeppelins was in 69. plenty of trivium songs are melodic and tuneful. and heafy nd coreys solos are far better than synyster gates'.

I fucking love WTF and liked CoE but the self titled album? I listened maybe 4 or 5 times to it (while i listened 70 times to WTF and 40 to City of Evil.). The songs are well written but A7X became way too soft and mainstream. I used to call A7X my fav band, but now they're just "another band I listen to once in a while". Don't get me wrong Sevenfold aren't a bad band at all, I mean just compared to the older albums. WTF was pure METAL, sadly those times have gone...

I allready ear all the CD and it´s not that bad. It is clearly that I prefer CoE or WtF, but it is not that bad :|. Some songs as: Lost, Afterlife, Scream or ALPoH are very good. But I wish they return to the WtF style, or at least CoE or StST

Just because a band changes the way they sing, it doesn't mean they aren't a good band, in fact. They were genius to add a lot of new instruments. And the singing itself is really good. clearly the people who LOVED A7X and now don't just hate change. At first I didn't like some of the songs, but that was when I would listen to like 40 seconds of the song. In order to like music, you have to listen to the full song. $20 half of you that hate the new CD haven't listened to the whole CD.
