He wasn't being a douche. He sat and took the whole roast. He didn't get up and walk off the stage like Axl Rose or something. He laughed a little..but a lot of the comics were newer people and the comedy game has changed a lot since the days of Steve Martin and Martin Short.

To everyone, please read: Chevy was pissed because he walked on stage (ready to be roasted for his legacy as one of the few greats) only to see that none of his true friends were there, but a bunch of comedy central-hired, b grade newschoolers smashing a guy they don't even know. He said "that hurt" to the camera at the end of it. So just FYI - roasts were only supposed to be reserved for the select few ELITE comedians, nowadays anybody gets one. He didnt know these people.

@wctwctwctwct He has no friends. All his old coworkers hate him because he is a dick. Now these comedy central hired b grade newschoolers are the big names in the business. Lisa Lampanelli will go down in history as one of the best insult comics ever, second only to Rickles. Marc Maron has one of the best podcasts there are and is recognized as "the guy" the comedians all want to talk to. In essence, he is this generations Johnny Carson. He was a dick in life, and this is the end result.

Every time I look at Chevy Chase I'm just blown away at how much (/poorly) he's aged. It seems like it happened so fast and he used to be sooo good looking.

Todd Barry saved this roast for me because g-d knows the *RoastMasterGeneral - Mr. Jeff Ross* wasn't there to save it. I don't know if Ross isn't a Friar or if he only roasts the ones he loves but he's the only one who could have saved it.
